Has sandbagging gotten worse? Only just renewed my subs and tried a C race tonight. It went off as hard as I remember the B races going off. Then I was fighting for 80th place! Maybe I'm just more unfit than I thought

I do wonder if the success of race series like wtrl and dirt has made sandbagging more prevalent and the ability to monitor w/kg with autocat means that the are quite a few people who can play it (legally) very close to boundaries with high reward.

I actually think it's improved a bit, at least in C, now about half of races have Category Enforcement in place, but it's the beginning of the season so if a lot of people haven't logged any races for 90 days there will be a period where people are not yet in the right Cat.

Ahh I hadn't thought about that. My ZP had no ranking the other day and I tried a C race so maybe others have done the same. But instead of drinking beer all summer they've been riding outside?

Maybe it’ll be easier to judge in a few weeks once you’ve gotten over the initial shock of racing again after a bit of a hiatus Matt.

Bloody cheats  It's taken me a couple of weeks back on Zwift to get used to the trainer. It was quite a shock to see how bad my indoor numbers were after a summer of riding outside. But they do come back after a few hard efforts. ^_^

Chaps… I mentioned a few weeks ago about entering the Thursday team time trial. Anyone fancy it tomorrow evening? I just had a quick look on the WTRL website and there’s start time slots around 7:20pm or else around 7:45. Course is “out and back” which includes the watopia volcano. I reckon about an hours racing.

Can’t do tonight mate. Youngest daughters birthday (9 years old! Where did the time
go!?!)

Generally speaking I am up for it. But are there any earlier slots we can do? These later slots are tough for me.
