I think the Gorby has got a sort of Stockholm Syndrome grip over me. I hate it while I’m doing it, but I keep on coming back. Tonight I ratcheted up the bias to 345W for the last interval, which left me so fucked that I could barely turn the pedals and nearly got into the erg-mode-death-spiral during my cool-down. Of course, next time I’ll try two intervals at 345W!

I completely missed the fact the TDF started yesterday… busy week.
Any chance we try and respect a no spoiler rule before the ITV highlights have finished Uk time?
It’d be a much appreciated bit of consideration for people like me who normally struggle to watch it live during the day.
There is of course the spoiler option, if you just can’t resist blurting things out on social media (yes Andy, I am looking at you! 😄)

I'm interested too on how Pidcock goes. His first Vuelta last year, he did well in the third week. He has potential to be multiday racer. If not Classics, Cyclo-cross and MTB isn't a bad palmeres

😄 Yeah fair enough. I was going on past history as much as anything!
I like the the itv4 schedule and presentation to be fair. It’s part of my TDF daily ritual which hasn’t really changed since it was on channel 4 in the 90’s.

Bought a cyclo-cross bike today! Another Giant! 
2nd hand, 10 years old. Intend to refresh it and fit out with leftover parts from when I was building the road bike.

Pete are you going to race it during the cyclo-cross winter season?
If you do race, best bit of advice I can relay from some of our seasoned CX racers in my club. Fit tubular tyres, so you can run super low pressure, maintain grip and have excellent rolling resistance. I'll ask which is the flavour of the month in make and model tubulars
