Ah great nights racing everyone. Team 68 ran out of road and @straas had some technical issues but take nothing away from CCC, great ride again.

If anything we went too fast for our own good, maybe if 23 had caught us we could have got you, but I'm not convinced as a unit we could have done any better. New FTP as well which is a bonus, really enjoying these races.

Maybe 23 had some technical issues as well? So hard to call time differences when little things can make such a big difference

So frustrating, lost internet just as CCC set off. Got it back just as 68 were setting off but didn't get discord sound so had no idea on rotation.

Lost it again just before the hill and when it reconnected I was 8 seconds back.

And my bills just gone up from £25 to £45, I know what I'm doing in the morning

I think we rode a pretty good race to be honest. I don’t think we can do anymore than that Power wise and we had a really nice train going for the first few miles. I just think the handicap was prob a bit against us in terms of the size of our team vs yours maybe. Just couldn’t make a real bite into your time. It looked like you guys were very strong.

But good fun as always! I’m not sure who won or what the team times were but I’m sure everyone push as hard as their legs would allow so well done everyone! 👍👍

Great ride everyone. Michael’s new ftp says it all. I really had to hang on there for a 3.6w/k average. Thanks for waiting for me at the escalator guys. Really didn’t want to bump into Tommy there 😁
Looks like 23 had some issues? And great ride you two in CCC 👏

Yeah team size is a huge factor. The time difference between the front of our group and yours was 36 seconds at the end but we did have an all out sprint at the end of ours, I think the time was probably more like 25 seconds for the most part. The ability to have a longer rest is very nice, maybe if we did it again all b's go as one group? Would add a different dynamic, hard to know. Certainly we were watching you guys hit 5w/kg and it was spurring us on

Mind you we couldn't quite catch a group of 3:notworthy:

I don’t think we ever got within 30 seconds. It seemed to be sitting on 34/35 the whole race

I agree about the mass start. The line between the two teams is pretty blurred. I think it’s brilliant. I really enjoy the completion and there’s nothing better than the little mini battles I don’t think. I really enjoyed racing with you guys last Friday. Why don’t we have a scratch race next week?

I went flat out for the first 15 minutes, even tried to take a turn on the front, then left it to the powerhouses that were @Joffey and @Whorty to finish it off!

Third highest 20 minute watts, highest ever 5 minute watts (and by quite a margin too). Nothing left in the tank after that sort of effort, but still had 9.4 miles left to ride - not too much of a surprise to come in over five minutes down!

I think a scratch race where the winner is done based on a lap/segment time (rather than first across the line) would be best, as that way we can still release riders at intervals and give people like me the illusion of being at the front for a short while, while better riders will have someone to chase down. We don't even have to work out proper time gaps, just rank the riders in order of power and have them go off every 30 seconds.

But I may have to request that we don't use this course again - we're doing it on Friday night in the Racing Without Borders league, which means it'll be 4 races and one recce for me in 3 weeks already!

That was hard. A big :notworthy: to everyone. We were watching that gap close bit by bit whilst you chasers were pushing big w/kg numbers. I don't think anyone left anything in the tank there :B)

Thanks Paul and team captains for organising :okay:
