Well done @Joffey and the rest of Team CCC and well done Team 68 for - well I was going to say holding us off, but I think you actually went marginally quicker so 👍👍.

We didn't have any issues - in fact we rode really hard and well I thought. But we were a man down from the start, and we lost Nick and Andy - who did plenty of big turns along the way - before the end, so finished with just three. But me, Pete and Tommy who finished ahead all did higher power numbers than last week. However, due to being fewer riders we were around 30 seconds slower than last week despite this. Don't think we could have dug any deeper than that though!

Team 68 were about 30 seconds faster than last week I think - for the opposite reason presumably! In hindsight we probably should have started all the B's together - but hey, it's easy in hindsight isn't it?!

(Speaking for myself) I was really spurred on by watching the tiny time-gap numbers changing and realising that we might hold off #23 (or catch CCC), whereas I think I would probably have sat on and crystal-cranked if all 13 of us had started together . Definitely got a really good workout and had a lot of fun :okay:.

I have no idea what ‘Crystal cranked’ is but if you can buy it by the gram then I’m in!

Regarding the scratch races I think you’ll be surprised how hard you start trying when you find yourself in a battle with the same people again and again.

I think our biggest problem was that both @Whorty and @Joffey were both seeing slightly different things on their screens - one was seeing the other rider being in the lead, while the other saw the complete opposite. It did lead to some confusion when one was trying to overtake to take a turn on the front, but the other thought they were already there and so was accelerating to make sure they didn’t get dropped, which of course meant the first rider then found it more difficult to take the lead on their screen!

It was quite bizarre. And confusing. I guess it was caused by server lag. On my screen it would look like Joffey was riding next to me and I'm pushing hard to get past and do my turn, but on Joffey's screen he's sitting behind me (and vice-versa)
