GCN subscribers..... Just watching my first race since signing up to their £20 / year offer.

Tour de La Provence, weather looks lovely a lot warmer than it currently is in the UK.

Good picture, currently watching on Apple TV via iPad app.

40 kms to go with a 3 man breakaway, who can guess who one of the riders in the breakaway is, one clue, he's French...

Geraint Thomas?

So you just watch on the iPad and cast it to the Apple TV? (You are getting your moneys worth out of that Apple TV lol)

Been a while since I’ve been on a forum.
So I want to join in on the ride Tuesday. What do I have to do besides make a zwiftpower and wtrl account.
do I have to add the team somewhere ?

Just keep an eye on the team conversation "season 2 #68 teamtalk" race pass gets posted, usually on the weekend, just let us know if you are free/there is a slot etc

Read some interesting numbers about Kittel and his most successful years in the TDF. He averaged around 3.1W/kg for the tour, had an FTP of 4.9 W/kg peak sprint power for 3 secs of 1940Watts.

But generally finshed in the bottom 10% of GC.

It was assessed that the effort to ride in a grand tour, daily efforts are between 5-10% higher than a GC contender. Those are the difficulties of a 90kg sprinter

Fair play I think that’s a great idea. Bit of a pain maybe. But considering how popular these events are it could shake things up a bit.

Agreed. Be interesting to see how numbers are effected! Should at least scare some people

Yes you need to do both these things, but in order to ride in the ZRL nit only do you need a zwiftpower account, you also need to have completed at least 3 races of over 20km in order for zwiftpower to assign you a valid race category. So after you have registered with ZP, get yourself signed up for some races quick!

Edit: Yes it would be good if you also joined the CycleChat team on Zwiftpower once you're registered

To be honest, I thought they were already doing this - it was in the rules that they'd pick some random teams each week, so I'm surprised it's taken until week 6 to actually do it. The trouble is if you've got a rider in your team with suspect weight/height numbers, all he has to do is cry off this week with an injury/unavailability (most teams operate with a squad so someone can replace them) and he can then carry on as normal from next week and nobody's the wiser.

Sounds like you CCC boys already have your plan sorted

Needed to squeeze in a quick race today, too many meetings/commitments.

An amazing 102 C racers in the pens if I read things correctly for the downtown dolphin race. With a field that size I fully expected a brutally fast race. I spent the first 4 laps trying to hang on, but ultimately had to let the lead pack go and ease up to join a second pack. We continually mopped up coned riders and those who couldn't handle the lead pace. Ultimately finished 28th on the road, 10th on zp. New course record for me -- but over a minute behind the lead group.

My ~25 minute power now is about where my ~50 minute power was in 2018. That may sound pathetic, but that's a huge improvement in the last month or so. I credit replacing a short crit city race with a longer ZRL race most weeks as well as hitting the ski slopes regularly with my daughter the last month or so. Got to love that she can ski all 15 resorts in Utah 3 times each for a grand total of $50. Great program for the munchkins, an extra workout or two every week for me.
