I saw that - it's a great idea, but personally I'm not convinced I'd want to use it because I think it's more important to have flexibility in the team and ensure that whatever happens someone is pulling hard on the front at all times. The importance of this trumps the importance of everyone sticking to their fixed turn on front (although it's obviously a good idea to start off with a clear plan).

Still, kudos to whoever made it

I agree. We seem to do well by each doing the turn we feel we can do. So for example I usually do a bit less than a minute whereas some of you guys do a bit more. The main thing is to ensure you keep the speed up for your teun AND have enough left to sink and then sprint back on.

The sceptic in me thinks this is to create a commercial opportunity for road dropper posts, so riders can still get super low but without breaking the tuck law??
Good point. I supposed they'd off-set the weight gain of the dropper post by having lighter frames.

The super tuck is not the most stable position though and rider safety has been in the news a lot recently.

True, but no injuries in the pro peloton through it ... Then look at bidons jumping out of cages, deflating Flamme Rouge banners, Barriers, Helicopters flying too low, Motorcyclists, Team Cars, Loose dogs. WvA's crash was in a normal position, as was Van Gaarderens.

The cycnic in me say's that this is easy to spot and punish and that is why it's picked on. The stuff that affects the UCI commercially will be fudged around!

Another easy one for me is not being allowed to throw bottles away. I cringe when i see the peloton, and a rider towards the front throws their bottle and it bounces back towards the riders.

Bottles should be thrown only in feed areas, or swapped with team cars for full ones.

My view anyway

Yeah, and they should carry their own spares to do repairs, including tyres

I hate to see them discard those aluminium/plastic gel wrappers:cursing:

Just to let everyone on here know, the CCC Team are planning a reccy of the New York Reverse KOM on Sunday at 2pm, ready for this week's TTT.

We won't be doing the full route that we're doing on Tuesday, but rather a much shorter one that just heads straight to (and up) the climb. The reason is that as we have a group with such a wide spread of abilities (and weights), it might be tougher to keep a group together up the KOM, especially as this one is so "rampy", so we felt a practice session is probably worth doing just so we can see what our tactics should be.

Anyone else from the other CycleChat teams interested in joining, just let me know and I'll add you to the meetup (although you'll have to follow me on Zwift first - Steven Robinson (CCCT))

Just signed up for the GCN race pass , half price offer on , £20 for the year. Eurosport seem to be having to play second fiddle to GCN these days and not getting live coverage . Can scrolll all way back through previous races too . Just going to do a bit of zone 2 whilst watching the Middelkerke cyclocross 👍

GCN is owned by Eurosport so they're obviously manipulating us in this direction :okay:
