Good average power though, @straas - those are B Cat numbers. You need to complete three races before you ride in the Zwift Racing League.

If you have a bluetooth setup (not ANT+) then a HRM monitor can be less than £20?

They're very good at telling you why you're hurting so much during a race

Just to follow up on this in case you were wondering @straas ; I've ordered it and it's certainly been picked up by zwift so seems to do the job. Exactly the same as wahoo and Garmin, lithium CR2032. Good spot @BurningLegs

Mine's arriving tomorrow, glad to hear it's good.

Was going to get the tickr but they're sold out everywhere.

Just did the WTRL Richmond flat in group B - managed just about to scrape the bottom of the field with all my effort - was terrified of getting completely dropped and completing solo.

Now I've done three races my profiles updated a bit more and it looks like I'm allowed to race in C. Would you recommend that or just battle for the bottom of B and hope for better improvements there?

If you are borderline c and think there's any chance you will become a B probably best to start as a B, but if you feel you aren't likely to make improvements could try c? Do you have a link again to your zwiftpower profile?

One tip with that HRM!; Initially it was picking it up on zwift but saying 0bpm, it didn't actually read heart rate until I linked it to my phone and then unlinked it and repaired with zwift.

Don't know if it would have just read eventually or not but if you have that issue maybe give that a go

Good to see you in the Tour de Zwift ride this afternoon @Alongo - thought you were going to catch me on the KOM!

I got lucky on the way down - got into a group of four and one was on a TT bike pushing monster power so good to draft downhill and on the flat. None of us could stick with the TTer up the small hill towards the end but I came in ahead of the other two on road bikes so relatively pleased.

Would have preferred higher than 22nd of course, and annoying to see that all but one of the top 15 have a 95% figure over 4w/kg!

Yeah , noticed you were up ahead @BurningLegs , good result 👍, it was an open category so probably quite a few A’s in those top slots , ,I didn’t think I was going to catch you 😂, found it a hard effort and a bit of a shock to the system to be honest . We had a TT ’er with us who left us too . The good news is that the Christmas indulgence cant have been as drastic as I thought , got weighed this morning and was at pre Christmas weight of 71 kg . Just have to get used to those threshold and VO2 efforts now .

All cats mixed to the tour events though mate, different pen different course/distance

Yeah true @Brendan Parker but that’s not how it looks on Zwiftpower

I know I shouldn’t be treating TdZ rides as races (they’re even labelled specifically as group rides not races) but I just can’t stop myself!

Did stage 2 of the TdZ today. Richmond is quite a savage route, either pan flat or annoyingly lumpy so always on full power. Finished in 52mins which isn't bad for me.

To those who have rocker plates, are they worth it?

Will be interested to hear what you think @Norry1 - so far I've heard of some people leaving Zwift to race there, but seen just as many bugs/complaints so wonder if a move over there would be out of the frying pan and into the fire?!
