I've been Legs since the autumn of 1989 (just turned 8), when I started at a new school and was the only boy wearing shorts... :-)

My brother still calls me Legs and I'm Uncle Legs to his children.
I assumed you and @BurningLegs were relatives

Did my first Cat C race in almost 11 weeks tonight (given that all the WTRL/ZRL events were in B) and am pleased to say it didn't go terribly. Maybe I might still be able to be of some use to the CCCT next week after all.

Got a bit of a shock at the start line when it took me to the Tempus Fugit start pens, considering I'd signed up for Greater London 8, but apparently they'd changed it at the last minute (no-one knew why). Course probably suited me better to be honest, so I wasn't going to complain. Finish line was in a weird place as well at about halfway through the return leg of the second lap - possibly they were keeping the same distance as it was on the original course?

ZwiftPower has me finishing in the top half - literally just: 24th out of 48, although it took a bit of a sprint effort at the finish line to achieve that placing, just edging out about two thirds of the riders in the group I'd been riding in for the majority of the race. Took a whole minute off my previous best time for the Tempus Fugit segment on the first lap, so am happy with that. Heart rate was pretty much a constant 175 all race, which is about as high as I can go for a long effort (only go into the 180's for sprints and IRL steep hill climbs).

Well done. You definitely came on during the first season of ZRL. Team CCC should have a strong showing!

Just putting a link below for the documentary about jumbo visma at the 2020 tour. Haven't watched it but supposed to be good (needs subtitles). One for a zone 2 effort on the trainer

I noticed your ride on Strava, some great numbers there mate. You certainly will be a valuable member of CCC this coming season! :okay:

That’s interesting, because I actually thought I was getting worse as the season progressed!

I set some reasonably good power numbers in the early races (even if my results were terrible) but they then tailed off rather rapidly, much of which I put down to me getting back into outside riding again in October and November in a big way. Doing a lot more long distance, lower power rides it turns out isn’t great prep for the all-out sprint fests that most Zwift races are!

.
Will definitely have to check this out, cheers
there is actually 6 episodes to this, this one is the TDF, the others are only short

Hopefully the Tokyo Olympic course they've been hinting at for ages gets released before the summer.

Mind you as far as zwift are concerned the numbers are higher and higher so little impetus to change

Joined the 3R Greater London 8 Hilly Race today - doesn't seem to show on zwiftpower, presumably because I'm still without HR monitor at the moment? Odd as the race from the other day shows under filtered.

Got my power up just before the race and managed to roughly stay with the first group until 4km when there was a slight incline and I was dropped like a stone.

Stuck in a middle ground then with riders in from about 7 seconds ahead (and rising) and riders behind about 16 secs, decided to just ride at a high but maintainable effort until the group behind caught up then I jumped on that group.

Managed to stay with them till box hill, after that it was just damage limitation!

Think I finished about 65/150 which didn't seem too bad!

Sounds like you are getting the hang of the race craft👍

Normally your results should still show up in the filtered section as you say...but zwiftpower has been odd lately

I'm thinking about getting a Apple tv unit as a back up to my PC, any pointers into which model to get ? 4th generation ? Or should I wait until the new edition arrives and buy a second hand one from someone here... :hello:

I've got an A1625 model and that works great - you can pick em up for a hundred quid, sometimes cheaper, 2nd hand.
