Had a recce race in a Polish Racing League on next weeks Richmond UCI reverse course . Feels like a totally different course than the standard Richmond UCI course . Starts with a fast km down hill , then the three kickers come straight after , definitely need a good warm up to hit those hills , although they don’t seem as brutal this way round . There’s going to be three power up options available and there’s five banners where new ones may be available .
Hope we’re all getting tuned up for this and ready for the new season , weigh in on Sunday to see what the Christmas damage is looking like .

If anyone is interested in wasting an hour, here is a link to Rach and my (very) brief brush with TV stardom. This is our episode of Escape to the Country, filmed in 2014 when Rach was still quite well. The properties were not suitable, but we had a lot of fun filming the show :okay:

p.s. before I started cycling too much, so please, no comments on my weight!!

Carl I thought you were South African or have I got my wires crossed.
It was nice to see you both on tv.

No - I've lived in South Africa, back in 2011. Rach and I spent 6 months living on a nature reserve in the Limpopo region and trained to be safari guides.

Good average power though, @straas - those are B Cat numbers. You need to complete three races before you ride in the Zwift Racing League.

If you have a bluetooth setup (not ANT+) then a HRM monitor can be less than £20?

They're very good at telling you why you're hurting so much during a race

I've just ordered this as my wahoo one gave up the ghost and doesn't seem to be on Amazon anymore so will report back.

Amazon customer service were surprisingly good, getting a refund for the wahoo one 👍

Technical issues aren’t unique to Zwift, then. Some complaints from RGT users this evening:

From the ZwiftInsider article on Season 2 (bold emphasis mine):
ZwiftInsider said:
All riders must have a valid ZwiftPower category and must have completed at least 3 races longer than 20km in the month prior to starting any ZRL race. Riders must not exceed the Category threshold for their division for at least their first 4 weeks in the season. A rider upgrading in category in their 3rd week would need to find a new team regardless of previous seasons.
Interesting, but a bit of a dilemma for me - I've only taken part in one race in the past month and that was back on 15th December! Better get some more under my belt this weekend.

I know the rule is really aimed at people who are likely to enter a category too low in order to gain an advantage, rather than people like me who are barely able to compete at their current category anyway, but I'd rather be safe than sorry in case it gets the team disqualified.
