Saddest of sad days, Rach passed away this morning, on her birthday. Only consolation I have at the moment is she's no longer suffering and in pain. I've lost my best friend of 25 years. If anyone is having a drink today, please do me the honor of raising a glass to my beautiful wife.
I was lucky to have known her, and I was most definitely batting well out of my league.

A lean year for additions to my whiskey collectionI had a 2 bottle of whiskey, Redbreast 21yo and Balvenie 21yo portwood . I am very surprised how Santa knew.
I opened Redbreast bottle and i have to say not bad Irish whiskey at all. First taste was bit of spicy but after that fruity flavor came. Here in Finland we have very limited whiskey collection, you are lucky that you have almost all available...i think.A lean year for additions to my whiskey collection

It doesn't get drunk, as I don't drink but I started collecting it when I used to drink. Back then it was mainly Irish whiskey, but now it is world whiskey, very little scotch in the collection.
Yes, it's not too difficult to get at all, plus I pick others up when I go abroad. I got a Czechoslovakian whisky called Hammerhead on a visit to Prague. It was made before the country split and rediscovered after a few years when they bottled it. I see that Finland has teerenpeli, I'll keep an eye out for that. The mackmyra is Swedish, I have two of theirs. I learnt about that after we had a work exchange placement person from the town where it is made.I opened Redbreast bottle and i have to say not bad Irish whiskey at all. I have bought Teerenpeli Kaski whiskey couple times. I like the flavor what obviously comes from cherry cask. I have 25yo Glenlivet whiskey which i not dare to open yet, nearly 400€ price tag make me save that bottle bit of longer than usually. Most of a time i am seeking whiskey where the flavor comes from port cask or a cherry cask, i don't mind if it's taste peat as well.Yes, it's not too difficult to get at all, plus I pick others up when I go abroad.
