I guessed you must have somehow got caught out in that early spilt. Im surprised one happened so early leaving just 14 or 15 of us in the front group. I hung on until one lap to go when the A‘s strung it out on the ramp into the volcano so my final lap was taken at relative ease.

anyone racing on Tuesday evening? There’s a hare and hounds style race at 6:30 HERE. Or if there’s enough interest we could lay on a Cyclechat Christmas meet up handicap race for around 7pm?
Got day off on Tuesday , going to catch up with a few jobs and try and get out IRL while Mrs is working 😀, weather looks pretty good but if that fails I’ll jump in the race .

Just noticed a local league series over Christmas ( starts tonight ) here in the SW so may ride that instead of Tuesdays Hare & Hounds...???

Looks a good league series with lots of entrants...

Details in link if anyone else interested... :okay:

Fastest Zwift race to date, averaged 43.5 km/h over the 19.8K course.

Finished in 41st place ( out of 90 ) in a very competitive race, great to race against guys I normally TT or CX against.

Next stage is Wednesday an iTT around London which should be interesting, hopefully I'll be able to move up a few places, the series results are based on GC.

It's all in aid of The Trussell Trust charity so a good cause... :okay:

Just seen this from WTRL

Once we have the plans finalized for season 2, all season 1 teams will be invited to season 2. It is for those teams to accept or decline and then make amendments. The danger to just throwing in all those teams is that 1. They may not show up 2. They may wish to make changes and then we end up with a tonne more work where 1,200 teams and 10,000 racers are concerned.
We also have some new features that may need teams to switch divisions etc depending on their riders.

Guys, I won’t race tomorrow. Been feeling a bit crock along with rest of family and took a covid test. Fortunately negative. Going to rest and save the legs for thursdays TTT. Enjoy👍

Me and the missus have been unwell for 10 days, symptoms tailing off slowly currently.

A few days after our daughter was mildly ill, whose school year was sent home due to C+ results in some kids. We didn't get tested being 25 miles to nearest test centre. Wife doesn't believe we've had the C, but we have had all the common symptoms.

My sons and his flatmates all tested positive, despite being asymptomatic.

Yes, got mine this morning :okay:

Not been riding this month as been looking after Rach. She is very poorly now and slipping in and out of consciousness. The consultant thinks we have only a day or so until the end. She has fought so hard for so long but her battle is now done. Feckin heartbroken. She has been my rock, best friend and soul mate for 25 years. She bought me my first trainer, the Boardman bike that is on the trainer and my roubaix. She has supported my bike riding as she knew this was an escape for me from real life. Whilst she was still able to talk she made me promise to continue to ride.

Bit of a ramble but I'm sitting here alone with her and no one else to talk to. Thanks for listening :hugs:

Cannot express how I feel for you right now. Talk as much as you want - and if you need a voice at the other end, just shout.

You have all my sympathies @Whorty. Ramble on here as much as you like about anything whether it be bikes or any other joys or sorrows that life brings your way.
