The results come from zwiftpower - I don’t know how exactly it works but I suspect the data relates back to zwiftid number so even if your Zwiftpower name is different then you should still get the points.
I’m gonna set my team to Cyclechat, so that even if I inadvertently finish ahead of you I won’t take your points (the sprint points only apply to riders for IRL)

Good idea! Discord? Probably not much strategy other than go a bit long

Ya I’ll be on discord. I’ll be ready to lead out from 600 metres - normally I’m good for 400-500m sprint so hope to deliver you to the line. We should get in line with a couple of km to go

In my non-competitive riding to try to hold fitness and lose weight I've been doing BRVR rides, mostly at a nice tempo. There is a goats league running so I've been using those as courses to ride. The one I chose today was Pike's Peak ..... 1900 metres of climbing :B) 2hr 30mins of brutal-ness, at an average 205 watts. I hurt :surrender: This is supposed to be more relaxing than Zwift
That's a hard climb. I remember doing it over 4 rides of about an hour each when BRVR launched. A series of climbs I have not found memories of.

Well done on 2 1/2 hours :notworthy:

My heart was in it but my legs not so much! All sounded great in the planning didn’t it? 😄

How did you get on in the end?

No you did great, only problem was it was a little longer than advertised to the finish line! You got a bit of a gap to most of the field then Alan guided me past - the guy I was looking out for (cairns) then he Swung past with about 200m to go- I got around him but took a couple of guys one of whom beat me to the line I think.

I didn't have much left for an explosive sprint as it was a good 2 minute effort near max but lead out train did the job- if the line had come where it should have it would have worked perfectly, I think it was maybe 500m further than we thought.

As it is I'm not sure if I have the points overall or not but it'll be tight, and fun executing a plan :hugs:

Edit; and sorry for the swearing/grunting :mrpig:

Double edit- 600 m longer. Also well done to Alan who managed to recover and finish 5th

What's demoralising is that it takes 50 minutes to get to the base of the actual climb  And then it's a 1hr 40 minute climb from there

Still have quite a few monster climbs in the league to complete so the pain is not over just yet :B) Very much enjoying the rides and helping me to have a focus. Weight is only dropping very gradually though which is a bit frustrating :banghead:

Slowly but surely is the best way @Whorty - especially if you’re building power with your rides too 👍

It was good fun tonight and our lead out train worked well, just a pity we completely got the distance to go wrong. More research next time maybe 😂. I’m enjoying the teamwork element of these races lately

This is what I loved about the C races we were doing earlier this year in the DBR and IRL leagues. Having mates around to work for is great fun. :okay:

Can’t remember the last time I didn’t use the tron to be honest. It’s a very versatile machine, and at my level (29) there isn’t anything better for 90% of courses, and even for the 10% where another frame is better it’s usually marginal.

I think that if you’re a higher level then there are other frames that come into play (SL7?) but once you unlock the tron it becomes a no brainer for most!
