WTRL ZWIFT RACING LEAGUE
The ZRL is due to start on Tuesday 13th October. Provisional start times are either 7.15pm or 7.45pm, but these are still subject to change so not yet confirmed - although you can be sure it'll be somewhere around tehse times.
Stage 1 is LONG and HILLY - a 50km race on Big Foot Hills with points available at 3 intermediate KOM points plus the finish line obviously (plenty of time to discuss tactics for trying to get points later!)
@IrishAl , @Brendan Parker and I have put our heads together and our proposed teams are as follows:
Cyclechat #23
@IrishAl (Captain)
@bridgy
@<Tommy>
@Alongo
@Norry1
@peterob
Cyclechat #68
@Brendan Parker (Captain)
@mjd1988
@bobinski
@Spartak
@Ketty
@Joffey
I hope everyone is happy with that - there's obviously a number of riders who are incredibly closely matched so it was a difficult decison but we've tried to pick the #23 team based on logic, noting things like best 20 minute power - and rider weight, noting how hilly stage 1 is.
Sorry to those who've expressed an interest but aren't included in #68 - we think we've chosen those who showed the strongest interest in racing as we're in the good position really of having a few more people available than the max team sizes of 6.
Can everyone listed above please confirm that as things stand they are up for and able to ride? If/when we hear any more details on exact start times we'll let you know.
Cheers all
Thanks for all the effort! All good with me 👍🏻WTRL ZWIFT RACING LEAGUE

Hi Pete. The loose plan for the wednesday meet up was to just take it as a group ride. there is the option to turn on the “keep everyone together option” and that way everyone could do it at a pace that suits them - personally I dont particularly like that and the better idea might be to stick as a group and if anyone wants to test themselves they could do an effort on the KOMs and wait at the top for the group.I may join the 3R Sundown TT tomorrow but there's also the CC meetup on Wednesday and can only do one of them. What was the format of the meetup on Wednesday @IrishAl? Were we looking at doing a (partial) race or is it more of a group ride?
Worth noting that ZRL stage 1 doesn't do the whole 67.5km course, but finishes at Titans Grove reverse KOMHi Pete. I'm available if needed (we're limited to 6 in the race, right?). Else I'll just jump into one of the regular races I do around that time. In fact, if they're all going at 7:15 or 7:45 UTC, then I'm going to consistently be available.
I tried to watch it live on Eurosport but the filming was so bad (vomit inducing) that I gave up. Can't understand how they can get Le Tour so right, but this so wrong.Dull old stage at the giro today
Not for sure is tomorrows stage any better. First flat and then one climb on a half way and and after descent flat again to finish, almost like an mirror image.Dull old stage at the giro today
