Just read @<Tommy> ’s updated status beneath his avatar!

I laughed! You stupid boy!!

I reckon you must have been riding your Colnago at 3% on Sunday the way you were gliding up those Surrey hills.......... and gravel tracks! 💪
Apparently @Spartak is powered by M&Ms  @bobinski always talks about his jellybabies .... maybe I need to start eating sweets to get myself into B cat

@bobinski and @Del C how did you get on in the TTT last night guys?

That might have been my last one for a while as my son's football training starts next week and one of the nights is Thursdays - mixed feelings about that because they are definitely fun to do but man, they are hard too! Harder than most races I'd say because the pace is relentless and if/when you do get on the front you have to really push hard, which isn't necessarily the case in a race.

One of our riders got stuck on the line so we were down to 7 from the start. We dropped another rider on the way, but 6 of us got to the finish - I always set myself a target to be in the top 4 at the finish if I can, and I made it over the line in 4th so that mission was accomplished! My normalisd power was 302w which is only slightly less than the 308w I managed in the ITT on Tuesday which was only 27 minutes - which should give you some idea of how hard it was!

Team finished with a time of 42:40 which was good enough for 16th/141 in the Frappe category.

Zwift update though nothing too exciting as far as I can see
Noticed the MTB track is now open to Sterzo users, so I may have a go at that now :okay:

Fixed a bug where in certain scenarios a rider would get dropped from the draft
Ah, that explains why I lose races  Looking forward to doing better from now on

How simple is it to register a team & it's riders into the WTRL TTT League, my club are thinking about competing during the Autumn / Winter.

I'm not sure to be honest, as I haven't done any of the admin, but here's where you would register a team - https://wtrl.racing/ttt/TTT-Registration.php (you may need to register/set up account on the website to do this - you need to in order to see the reults etc).

Check out the rules section too, it will have all the details about what riders you're allowed in the different categories.

A couple of things to note - all your riders need to get the EXACT same wording tagged onto their name on Zwiftpower so the organisers can pick up the team results - e.g mine had to be "Paul Bridgman (ZSUNR - Jupiter)"

Also note that the category pen you all join for these races has nothing to do with your individual categories - you'll be told which Cat pen for all your riders to join (e.g. we had to join the D-Cat pen last night). You'll also be given a start time which will usually be a few minutes after the clock gets to zero on the start line - a bit like our handicap meetup races. Last night it was 2 minutes we had to wait but it has been as many as 9 minutes. So you'll need someone to be on the case with a stopwatch!

That's a good summary.

I did write something up about this when I was trying to see if there was any interest in a Cyclechat team. Once you get your head round the start pen, start time and team tagging, it's pretty straightforward, just needs somebody willing to do the admin work of entering a team and checking out the tagging each week.

Nice time and great power👍

poor one for me. I have only ridden once in about 9 days for various reasons and I struggled. 1min slower and 20 watts average lower than same ride 8 weeks ago. I really felt I had let the team down. New HR threshold of 163 and I hit 181 at one point so I can’t even say I was fatigued 😀 Just a poor day at the TTT office.

45.18 for us. Finished 83rd out of 141 in Frappe.

We've been working on getting our rotation working in recent weeks and it's getting better.

Completely agree with you on the relentless nature of the TTT. We're trying to push around 4.2w/kg for a minute when we take the lead position, then drop back and rest in the group. Last night I did the first bit ok, but found the resting in the group a lot harder than it should have been, and went straight out the back by Admiralty Arch just after my turn on the front.

Had to fight to get back on and did it, but the pressure never eases, does it?

Last night the ramps to look out for were Northumberland Avenue, Richmond Park and the exit from the tube station. Each of them were a risk for fracturing the group. We kept it together ok. I did a PB out of the tube station, but even allowing for that, I couldn't hold the group from that point and 2 of us gradually fell back leaving 6 of the team to complete the last 6kms. I didn't really ease back after that, but just couldn't hold the pace after nearly 30kms of full on riding.

I still enjoy the TTT format. It really is a great workout and the team aspect is superb. I've certainly improved my fitness and endurance. The problem is, so has the rest of my team so its still hard work to hang on, but I'm probably completing about 50% of the rides in the group now.

Another nice time there Del.
46.26 for us in Latte
We were missing a B rider (Well, as well as me 😁)
It is relentless- nowhere to hide except for a few seconds as you drop off the front but then the pace is still being pushed so risk is falling off the back.
