Some v impressive times on the ITT

Of those I've seen @bridgy and @IrishAl strongly up in the GC stakes.

Ride of the day @Brendan Parker though, that must be near a new FTP?

And well done Steve in c, was there anyone else doing it?

Glad I didn't do it, the times are all really fast! Hope to make some of the later races though
Cheers Michael it sure was. Felt like I paced it ok but looking at my graph after I dropped off a bit in the last 5km but overall 5watts higher than my last attempt. Think made a mistake waving to Paul and coming out of the tuck so didn’t wave to Steve and Alan. Sorry lads but good to see you all 😁

Definitely shouldn't have waved at me, I barely looked at my screen except to occasionally check how much further there was to go!

Using an arm band style one, but not a Polar. (That may not be what you wanted, but thought I'd mention it just in case).

I have an arm band one already (scosche), but thanks for the reply. Trouble is apparently it didn’t appreciate going through the washing machine for the second time. Survived the first time to be fair. Although so did the Bose headphones when I think about it...And you’d think the hrm would be more hardy than the headphones wouldn’t you? 🤷‍♂️. Technically that is one more time around than the iPhone lasted... move over dcrainmaker eh!

The scosche one has been fine apart from that. I just figured it wouldn’t hurt to try a different brand. Do you have a link to your amazon one bob? Which brand do you have Steve?

My one is also a Scoshe (the 24 version) and I'm on my second one as well. One of the metal bars that you attach the straps to snapped off - in fact it happened about a quarter of the way into the Tour of Cambridgeshire last year! I felt it starting to slip off my wrist and caught it before it hit the floor (fairly impressive reactions at 16mph!) and shoved it in my pocket, but after the ride as soon as I looked at it closely, I saw there wasn't anything that could be done to fix it, so had to ask Santa for a new one for Christmas...

Well done @bridgy. You beat me by 13 seconds although technically I beat you by 1 watt at 308w average. My extra height must have cost me 😆. I too was off at 19:41 but I didn’t see you on course so guess you were off just before me. I did though see Brendan and he was a hard man to catch. Always good to have someone on course that you know as it gives you a bit of extra motivation to catch or not give up or to stay infront of.

That was actually the fastest I’ve been on that course, 3 seconds quicker than a week ago in the HERD race day 1 and 25 seconds quicker than the team IRL event. tonights effort felt worse with a poor warm up and my power In each split was falling the whole Way.

It will be interesting to see the rest of the times as they get Sorted into the correct categories. Any time gaps will be hard to close in the GC race.

That's a good point- one watt more but 13 seconds behind- seems quite harsh on you! I just had a look on Strava and you were 2 or 3 seconds ahead of me at the start, we were absolutely neck and neck at the halfway stage, and then I steadily gained 16 seconds on you in the second half. That was for the official Tempus Fugit segment but the TT course had an extra mile at the start. For just the segment my watts were a little higher than yours - all of which suggests you put down some really high watts at the very start, but they didn't gain you much time overall (about 3 seconds compared to me). And you paid for them a bit in the second half of the race

Same here, not a good day or time for me so i'll dip in when I can and be there to help any CCers in the race that want a wheel. I'm on leave next week so might be able to do the next stage :okay:

Looking at my splits I did the first 3 miles at 320w av, next @ 310, 300, and final 3 miles at 290. A bit of a trend there 🥵. Rest day today then BRT crit race tomorrow evening and Herd race on Saturday morning,
