Just awaiting survey results back. We are making another visit this week to better understand the land.
We are thinking of returning the land to wild meadows for re introduction of wildlife, birds, insects. If its successful bees hives too.

We didn't want to have so much land, but were caught in a bit of a bidding episode.

Outdoors cycle for me this evening, tomorrow morning I’ll be jumping into the round 2 of the Herd Summer Racing League Race at 9am. It’s a points based race - 10 primes with one sprint every 3km And points on the finish. Should be fun. 🤢 Round 1 last week was an iTT and was billed as a prologue and had minimal points available - only 50 compared to 1000 tomorrow, so all to play for if anyone wants a Saturday morning series.

@Whorty I bought a pair of the Giro rumbles about 9 months ago... They're great

EDIT : Very comfortable both on & off the bike. But they're not waterproof.

I know, I preferred the red too but they only have these grey in my size (43)

Edit: just checked and they seem to have red in size 43 now ... so that may have made my decision for me

Just ridden the Bologna TT event
Crikey that's a tough final 2km.
But I did manage to beat my previous time of 24:44 - riding today in a time of 22:15... 🐌

Good luck tonight. It’s very tactical alright. I placed well in 6 of the primes - it’s fastest over the sprint segment rather than first over the line, so I did my best to sit near the back of the blob and Sprint my way through each time.

I was battling some of your BRT chums - they had around 5 strong riders in the race and I was having a personal battle with A couple of them. I could tell we were marking each other each sprint. By the 7th Lap I was feeling the efforts so sat back a little thinking I’d save myself for the big points on the finish. Over the course of lap 7 and 8 a split occurred as the pace was very high for the sprint - me and my BRT rival were both on the wrong side of it - guess we had both burnt too many matches early on. 2 other BRT riders waited up for him and we chased for a bit as a group of 4 but the gap was going out to the front. In the end they got the better of me and I finished 7th over the line but the earlier primes got me 5th in the points race, a total of 907 out of 1000 so I can’t complain too much.

Mondays race. One for the climbers. Haven't seen primes yet but hoping there is some sprinting before the road goes uphill. Otherwise happy to try and attack the group early on for the craic as I'll be taking it easy uphill
