I need some new shoes (SPD) as mine are manky .... any recommendations? Don't really want to spend over £100 if I can help it. I think a few others on here ride SPD ... :okay:
I'm also looking for a replacement for the Chrome Kursk pro shoes that they quit making. I really liked them because the cleats were recesessed enough that walking (or pushing the bike uphill) wasn't a problem. Let me know what you find. The 5 ten hellcats look good but reviews say they soak up water like a sponge.

Can’t see any surprises this year. If fit after his crash at the Dauphiné then Roglic looks best bet. Otherwise it’s Bernal or Pinot (if he can finally keep it together for 3 weeks). Pogachar and Dumoulin could make the podium but can’t see either winning the thing this year.
I really hope that Pinot is doing better especially after last year big disappointment.

Same here. Think I paid about £60 for mine and had them at least five years now, probably more.

They look a bit dated but I don’t really care about that. Not enough to replace them anyway
Mine are material (Specialised) and they're a bit pongy to say the least and get very wet! Was kind of hoping there was something less heavy and more 'road shoe' in style.

Pearl izumi do some nice shoes. Some of their road shoes are spd and spd-sl.

I have a pair of their alp shoes that are very comfortable
Thanks TB - I'll have a look. Not heard of that make.

Exactly why I bought mine initially, they look a bit like trainers (sneakers to you) and I could easily walk up hill in them  But, the make of them means when I sweat indoors they get soaked and slow to dry (same when it rains outdoors although I rarely venture out when it's raining LOL)

Randy check out ‘giro’ cycling shoes. They make quite a wide range with recessed cleats. And generally speaking giro make really good quality stuff.

@<Tommy> must be eagerly awaiting the carbon version that’s 25g lighter :okay:

😄

I’m not sure that would be enough to convince me to wear them.

I found Lake shoes good for me. Anyway i like manufactures who have size chart where you can find width and length, that helps a lot if you buy shoes from online.
