Interesting (geeky) read. If you want to be a top c you have to be either 50kg or 90kg.

@Ketty you must be nearing b numbers? You definitely put out great power in the CC race as well

Interesting article that thanks for sharing. It’s definitely the 1min/5min I need to improve to be more competitive. Going in right direction though.
As for B numbers I’m not sure yet. My weight dropping is moving me closer but I definitely don’t want to move there. Would rather be in C with @Whorty casuing havoc for whatever leagues we enter as a team :boxing:

I went from D to B very quickly with a brief stop in C but alas only another 60 days 🤪 and I'll be back to C...?

We do have some fun :okay: Really enjoy racing with you Tim - good to know there is a team mate in the pack

Hopefully no mechanicals for me on Monday and we can shake up the IRL race again

I'm raging to be missing Mondays race but away down to county Mayo to get a bit closer to storm Ellen.
Was going to cycle there (dedicated Greenway for miles) but the weather might have to behave a bit!

I don’t want to take anything away from myself and Alan’s mathematical skill . But there’s a fair bit of guess involved. Obviously every course is different. But also the number of riders in each group, who those riders are on the night, and how everyone’s feeling. So basically we’ll take all the credit when it goes right and none of the blame when it’s a million miles out 👍😁

People may also obviously move from team to team so hopefully everyone is ok with that. There are a few guys who are on the boundaries.
yes It was a complete fluke that the timings were almost perfect on Tuesday. It’s a fine line Isn’t it...if the gaps are too big then it turns into a team time trial, with the individual element not really coming into it until the final sprint - and if too small a gap then it’s not fair on the lower cats.

😄

I think I’d prefer to use the term, ‘educated guess’. But maybe with more emphasis on the word guess? 😁

I think the good thing about this particular format is that it’s not a team event but it has a team element. So even if the timings are shocking, at least you can have an inter category battle for bragging rights. Or on a good day with the timings on your side you can get the team thing going too.

Absolutely. I’ve still got that favour to repay when you paced me round Yorkshire.

unfortunately it might be the Keith hill after party as I’m on holiday next week. A cracking course to finish the series.

wonder what the early autumn series will be?!

Be good to get a pack going so we can really do some damage :boxing:
I'm so tempted to attack again on Monday and see who follows. With the sprint being on an incline that continues after the banner this could be an opportunity - will depend on the size of the 'blob' as too big and no chance to break away; it might be a laugh trying ^_^ What could possibly go wrong

And it's good exercise :training:
