Yeah, a short course is pretty good for these events. I think it's good to do several laps of a shorter circuit

Hows about another race in similar fashion to earlier in the week? Will we say Weds 9th September (Without wishing to Sound like I’m avoiding a poll )? I think we were all happy with a fortnightly event, and we dodged Wednesday at the last moment this week. Having said that the race this week was good fun so weekly is an option for me.

Thoughts on course and distance? Personally I’d prefer changing the course rather than always doing the same one. We should be able to use this weeks time gaps and adjust based on distance etc.
Sounds good. Definitely different courses each time - doesn't have to be pan flat, but if it is hilly, remember to increase the time gap or reduce the distance.

Time gaps between C and A were about right this week (although I would never say no to an extra 30 seconds of course...) but B's probably need to be closer to A's - they caught us towards the end of lap 3 of 5, which is a little too soon for my liking.

Rode The Queen's Highway this morning for the first time, would that be a good course to use...?

I don’t want to take anything away from myself and Alan’s mathematical skill . But there’s a fair bit of guess involved. Obviously every course is different. But also the number of riders in each group, who those riders are on the night, and how everyone’s feeling. So basically we’ll take all the credit when it goes right and none of the blame when it’s a million miles out 👍😁

People may also obviously move from team to team so hopefully everyone is ok with that. There are a few guys who are on the boundaries.

I'm with you, I think for that course the times were about right; had I not gone a bit kamikaze earlier I could have held on to B easily until the end, and maybe even As (at least on a flat course). It's the hills that kill us lower cat riders, we can lose a minute on even the shortest of climbs

Consider yourself promoted! Welcome to A
Oooh, I’m not sure you grasped what I was thinking 🤔 shall we try again. 😂

Sounds good. I agree a short flattish course will probably be easy to work out times.

That said might be fair to have a bit of a bigger bump to mix it up even if that wrecks my own chances. Even something like two laps of innsbruckring just to bring the legsnapper into it would be painful but interesting? I think if you had multiple laps of that it may be a bit much though.

crit city with its short sharp hill is a good shout...and if you are dropped you can latch on to a group rather than be all alone!

I hope you guys trust us to choose a variety of courses over a variety of distances. The times won’t always be accurate as they were this time. But I think it’s better to keep things varied. That way hopefully everyone gets a bit of what they like.

I’m not saying to try and kill the conversation. It’s just that it’s going to get quite hard if we try and run this thing by committee the whole time.
