Yes, there is no chance of me hanging with the top climbers in this race (particularly the juniors or rogue a's) up the Kom, they are flying and there's nowhere to hide. I am getting better at hills but im a good 35kg heavier than one of the top climbers:mrpig:

First sprint is my big goal (hopefully 2nd behind Alan) and I'll do my best to hang with some form of group up and down the big hill as a workout!
I think I’ll go for points in the sprint and fight it out on the Volcano. The last series had a race which finished up the volcano and the juniors put nearly 20 seconds into me On that climb. It all depends on whether there are enough of us left in the chase group to reel them back on the descent and flat before the reverse KOM. With double points on the volcano it will be hard to beat the skinny ba$kets. 😂

With the length of the climb I reckon it'll be very fragmented and could see a couple of of the young uns go well clear. I'll try and power up the climb as best I can as I would probably be some use on the descent  but I doubt I'll be anywhere near you at that stage.

Expecting it to arrive on Monday, so hoping to fit on Tuesday

Went for the 4iiii Precision crank arm (left only).

Planning to connect PM and trainer direct to Apple TV and then HRM through companion app so will be keen to make sure the HR data is stable when connected through companion app. No idea how reliable pairing sensors through companion app is but will consider the 4iiii HRM if needed so it can act as an ANT to BLE bridge.

Just hook it up to computer and stick the activity onto Strava direct 👍

Thanks for that @mjd1988 , got it sorted . Pleased with the ride, out of about 30 rides on the route I managed to get within a few seconds of my second and third best times ( taking off the time delay ). Those previous times were in 2014 and 2015 when I was doing about 10,000 miles a year . Downside is all the phffafffing with laptop etc probably took as long as the ride 😂

I'm in the Forest of Dean on hols and like you @Alongo I thought I'd test my form on a segment I use for that, one of Simon Warren's 100 Climbs (107 Symond's Yat) I took 30 seconds off my PB and beat my best ever 8 minute power which I was pleased with.

I see British Cycling are allowing circuit racing now but 15 minute max races. May have to do more short Crit City races on Zwift to prepare

We were down there last year and had a great time , included kayaking down the river Wye and an evening at Chepstow races .

Is it Forest of Dean where there is a rental place for off road wheelchairs?

I remember seeing them on some of the wider trails and they looked like great fun

Interesting ... there will be those who will try their arm in the sprint (@mjd1988 ) because they don't fancy their chances in the KoMs. Burn too many matches too early and those hills are gonna hurt

Not done any proper climbing yet with these C riders so not sure what to expect Monday. I might try to sneak a point or 2 on the sprint and hope my lower weight will help me stay in contention on the Volcano and still there over the KoM. Could be a very broken ride with riders all over the place - race tactics could play a big part.
Looks a cracking course shame I’m away at present!! Give them hell @Whorty :okay:

Damn, forgot about that 😢 I'll have to work really hard to hang on through the firs 10km or so of flats - this is where the big boys need to be dropping the lighter chaps! If I can stay in the blob to the climb out of the flats I'll be feeling positive I think ... but it's gonna be hard for a low watt producing rider like me :surrender:
