As someone who’s had numerous wahoo kickrs Andy you’ll know that problems and smart trainers isn’t a problem mutually exclusive to smart bikes.
I think generally I’m fairly even handed with these things as I don’t attach too much emotion to them. And I’d say the neo bike on the whole should be excellent. It’s just got some small issues that need sorting. Customer support is probably their biggest issue right now. Time will tell...
The original wattbike is terrible for zwift.
I've a fair few house renovation things to do (hoped would be started by now, but covid) so want to make sure I've that all paid for before I look at an upgrade but, yeah, a smart bike is the plan.
It might be a year away yet so their may be some new competitors/second generation models out by then so hopefully options are a bit better but will maybe touch base closer to the time. Id looked at the dcrainmaker comparison of the three and thought the wattbike was the least gimmicky (still not the best, but did the relatively basic functions well)
