My turbo is still out of action. Long story... I’m refusing to send it back at the moment. It’s either send me the part I need to fix it myself or I get a refund. Bit annoying but at least the weather is generally very nice.

so long story short.... I might be doubtful for the team races but that could and hopefully will change soon! Fridays aren’t going to work for me generally anyway I don’t think. I kind of have those reserved for family and being sociable generally.

Going forward I think the teams should be slightly fluid. Burning legs, alongo, norry (apologies if I’ve forgot someone), are all in great form by the looks of it. So maybe the bridge between B and A is there if one team has 6 and the other has 3 one week for example.

Hmmm, thanks - interesting. I just read the article and it also says "Interesting side note: Zwift retooled the Zwift Mountain bike with their latest release, reducing its performance in game."

I assume that is since this article? I'll check I do have the Scott Spark and go with that I think. I also do not plan to start with a road bike and change unless anyone can see that it makes a big difference.
Good to hear that Zwift is little bit "personalized" mtb as well, otherwise all mtb on Zwift would be a same kind.

I’m in the same boat for Fridays. MY preference is to keep Friday evenings free for non cycling stuff as I’m usually on a long spin Saturdays. Ideally when we go into autumn mode we can schedule as part of the regular Tuesday slot, or pick a series that suits all.

I did the FUSION ECT BEUNSTOPPABLE Racing Series yesterday with the British Masters Turbo Racers (BMTR). It was on the Queen's Highway circuit which is pretty tough with repeated efforts every mile or so which doesn't suit me too well. It was a race within a race with all BMTR guys racing to do as well as they could in the overall race but also aiming to win their Age category. As a bonus, Eric Schlange did turn up and race and did pretty well.

I came 36th of 66 in the B Cat (26th in ZP) which wasn't great - and I came 2nd of 4 in my BMTR Age group (55-59), beaten in the sprint by the winner. The good news (if there is any) is that I would have won the 60-65 category which I will be in as of Jan 2nd.

Race is here - but be warned, it is just over an hour and 8 of the 13 laps are just the group of 7 I was in after we lost the front group. Also a perfect example of how NOT to sprint

Friday 12th and Wednesday 24th sounds good to me.

Same circuit, same teams, slightly different time gaps?

Just picked some of the recent messages to reply to.

I'll go with the suggestion that we pencil in Friday 12 June and Wednesday 24. I've quoted @<Tommy> and @IrishAl 's messages but I know there were 2 or 3 a few pages back saying Friday worked better for them so let's try these as the next 2 and see how they work. We can change things if we need to for future races.

I think we should use the same circuit for the next couple of races, then maybe move to a new route after that. I've been helping to organise my road club's lockdown virtual TT and we've been doing about 3 to 4 rides on one route, and then we move on. That seems to work and keeps interest.

I think we've got enough potential riders to keep the teams slightly fluid. If everyone was riding, I think I'd stay with the same squads as the last race, but if the numbers are unbalanced, we can move people between teams. We've got a fair spread of people within lower A, B, C and D that it should work.

On Al's last point depending on people's racing commitments and maybe after summer, we could possibly pick up Mondays or Tuesdays, but I know that a lot of people on here are keen to keep the DBR type league thing going so we'll have to see how that shapes up.

Finally, @bridgy seems to have been busy lately and hasn't been on here very much. We've always relied on Paul to set up our Meet Ups. Maybe we should all check that we're following each other on Zwift, because that would allow any of us to set up a Meet Up and take the pressure away from Paul.
