No way I could have sprinted I was 1 bpm off max in 20th , mucho respect gor those who had capacity to up their effort for sprint points.

I did have a little left to beat one rider to the finish line, a tiny consolation win

90 seconds in and everyone disappered. I kept pushing for a minute or so but then gave up. They all came back after 12 minutes. I'm just doing a Zone 2 ride to finish and maybe get 1 point.
I had that in the first ride ... I rode on for a minute but no one came back so I bailed. Very frustrating, I feel your pain!

Well done c team @Whorty @CXRAndy @Freelanderuk and especially @Marino.g for stepping up (not the easiest course to do so on!)

I think Carl stayed away with the front group the whole time? Amazing effort. I just ran out of gas on the steep hairpins. Spent the second lap in a group of 4 and just got towed in 16th on the road but got a couple of sprint points.

Really good course for racing, I used to ignore Richmond but the last couple of series have opened my eyes.

Had a bit of a mare with discord, now realise it was connecting to phone instead of headset
I think I got it tactically right tonight - sat in as much as I could and worked where I needed to. Those hills are painful though in a race, especially when the lead guys are pushing hard ... I went over the first time at the back but just managed to latch on to the group as they caught their breath. Sat in long enough to get my recovery then pushed for the sprints to try to deny Petersen points. A good workout

Well done to all of Cat D - I don't know what's happened to @Ketty's result, he wasn't as fast as JB was he?
No, he finished about halfway between JB and me.

He caught me at the top of Libby Hill on the first lap and we rode together for the next climb, but I struggled on the final climb and he continued to pull away even after we got to the flats. However, I then hopped on the back of a duo of fast Spaniards as they passed me approaching the next sprint and with their draft I was able to reel him back in. He then joined us for the next half lap to make a pack of four, but we all split up as soon as the climb started. I lost sight of him, but watching at the board on the right, he did an outstanding effort on the last two climbs as he reeled in at least one more rider and closed the gap to JB to about 30-40 seconds I think.

Just about to come on here and congratulate @Ketty on a great performance - a superbly paced race and brilliant climbing - and ZwiftPower's (admittedly provisional) results are showing him as WKG DQ'd! I'm really surprised, because he wasn't in the lead group that was doing 3+ w/kg for the first 20 minutes, so therefore I'd have thought he would be under the limit. I did manage to make that group and thought I might be cutting it fine, but I have come in under the limit somehow.

Other than that, a superb performance from the D crew. Yes we didn't knock out our DBR nemesis J.B, but @Joffey beat him in the first sprint and he didn't make the lead group that I was in, so I took 1st in the second sprint (pretty much uncontested)! At present myself, Joffey and @JLaw have 2nd, 3rd and 4th in the overall standings as well.

Going to check if my video recorded successfully - if so, I'll put it on YouTube fairly soon.
Great riding guys :okay: Shame about @Ketty .... another one soon to be promoted to C

Strange old night! I was knackered after that sprint but found myself riding with JB & @JLaw - I was trying to make JB do all the work on the front but he was having none of it and all three of us drifted back and if I remember rightly were overtaken. We then caught a group but me and JLaw lost contact on the climbs. We rode together until the final set of climbs then I don't know what happened - one minute he was with me and then next he was gone! Thanks for the company and help round though @JLaw :okay:

Had a weird experience on my trainer - there was little resistance on the climbs and lots of resistance in parts of the flat - it really messed with my ride. I tried to calibrate it before and after but it wasn't having none of it. Any idea what's going on there? It's a Tacx Flux S. I moved it around the garage yesterday... have I upset it?

Well done to all of Cat D - I don't know what's happened to @Ketty's result, he wasn't as fast as JB was he?
@Ketty rode a powerful race but too powerful for Cat D and made the same mistake as myself before.
His average power went over the 2.5 and if you notice Jb is clever and paces it out.
He knows what he’s doing ..

Ugh. I didn't realize we were riding Richmond until it was too late... I hate that course. Not unexpectedly, the climbs killed me.

Congrats Carl for beating J. Ferres, I always found him amazingly annoying when I was battling him at the top of C a couple years back.
He does like to talk  I was starting to feel a little sorry for Petersen ... well, up until he left me for dead on the final climbs

I’m not on Virgin and had no issues. So could be a VM problem...
VM had several national outages from 5pm today.

Also to build on the cyber security earlier in today, while it’s always good to have different passwords for different sites it’s a pain to remember them. A password tool app is helpful to store them but it’s also useful to set long password ie 13 to 15 characters. For reference a 7 character password can take about 0.5 second to crack and a 15 character password about 13 millennia (or something along those lines), so worth doing. But who wants to try and remember a long password. The easy way is three unrelated words for example grassyellowdoor. Even better if one of the words is foreign as 99% of password cracking lists are in the English language. I have also registered a domain so register on each websitewith a different email address, easy to spot which ones sold or compromised my details.

well done everyone, was really good to watch, I managed to record the C group ride and trying to upload to youtube now so will put up once uploaded. i was recording Peterson for a lot of the first lap so we can all see his game, I was trying to get messages through to Whorty via companion after the split but as I was nowhere near him app couldn't find him, spotted a couple I let him know about when i could, but yer discord is the way forward for this sort of thing. perhaps depending on the course one of us could sit out and advise. @Marino.g great first C ride :okay:
I saw your messages Brendan - really appreciated them :okay:

I hope your video shows how hard I was working

I can only think his best 20 minutes must have been achieved during the climbs, because he stayed with the main pack in the flats on the first lap, whereas I crossed the gap post-first sprint and got myself in the lead group with all the sandbaggers / out of Cat riders.

Yes, I did notice that JB didn't follow me when I made that jump - otherwise I'm pretty sure he'd have gone over as well! The good news is that @Joffey and me have proved he is beatable in a flat sprint - it's not easy, but it can be done. Bring on the next week's flat course!

EDIT: my mistake - I've just watched back my footage (video uploading to YouTube now, will be there in 15 minutes) and @Ketty WAS in the lead group with me at the second sprint. So yes, it is very possible he pushed the limits to stay with that group.
