No way I could have sprinted I was 1 bpm off max in 20th , mucho respect gor those who had capacity to up their effort for sprint points.

I did have a little left to beat one rider to the finish line, a tiny consolation win
They were only short sprints

I think I realised what was wrong with my headphones and discord , Carl messaged that he was resetting his app on the phone ,the penny dropped and I realised that I was trying to run 2 apps using Bluetooth on my mini iPad that I have the companion app on , 🤬

My only concern with this is music! I love listening to music whilst riding and genuinely think I’d be slower without it!
doesn't the companion app run over wifi?

Yes but Spotify was Bluetooth to my hifi , when I started the discord and my headphones I lost my music as discord sound came threw the hifi speakers and not the headphones ☹️

12th on ZP Chris - cracking riding again. All 5 of us in top 30 is a great team result.

Big kudos to @Marino.g :notworthy:
Thanks for the kudos and considering I didn’t feel great before the race I gave it a go and found myself in a nice group that was behind you guys all the way round.
I messed up at the end but I’m pleased that I didn’t get dropped on the climbs but they were short enough for me to hang on in there.:okay:

I can only think his best 20 minutes must have been achieved during the climbs, because he stayed with the main pack in the flats on the first lap, whereas I crossed the gap post-first sprint and got myself in the lead group with all the sandbaggers / out of Cat riders.

Yes, I did notice that JB didn't follow me when I made that jump - otherwise I'm pretty sure he'd have gone over as well! The good news is that @Joffey and me have proved he is beatable in a flat sprint - it's not easy, but it can be done. Bring on the next week's flat course!

EDIT: my mistake - I've just watched back my footage (video uploading to YouTube now, will be there in 15 minutes) and @Ketty WAS in the lead group with me at the second sprint. So yes, it is very possible he pushed the limits to stay with that group.

For some reason he stayed with me and rode well within his limits. Great ride by you today, beat him in the sprint and nearly got him in the end!

PS did you get our sprint on YouTube? I’d love a clip of that.

Strange old night! I was knackered after that sprint but found myself riding with JB & @JLaw - I was trying to make JB do all the work on the front but he was having none of it and all three of us drifted back and if I remember rightly were overtaken. We then caught a group but me and JLaw lost contact on the climbs. We rode together until the final set of climbs then I don't know what happened - one minute he was with me and then next he was gone! Thanks for the company and help round though @JLaw :okay:
There was a brief period when I thought I might be able to catch back up, but I also didn't want to drag any of the other riders up to you (there were 3-4 behind me that I suspected were going to catch up). So I backed off. One of those behind did catch you from what I could tell.

The poor sleep, lousy meetings and lack of breakfast didn't help. But in the end, those are just excuses. I knew I was going to struggle once I saw the route.

I waited up for you then I noticed another rider coming a cross so I put my foot down. Thanks for the help on the flats, I needed it today!

Yes, I got the sprints! It's been uploaded now, but it's still "processing". Basically I could give you the link now, but it's as blurry as **** until the processing is finished, so I'm going to wait until that's done before showing it off. After finishing I did manage to find you in the rider list, so I've got you crossing the line as well, but missed JLaw somehow.
