Ok here are my instructions

Sign up to join the race as a competitor as per normal.

I assume you are using a PC?

Before the race starts press 'windows' key and 'G' together. This will launch the record features in Windows. Then press Record to start.

To watch other riders click on their name on the right side list.

You as a Racer will just sit on the start line. You can jump from rider to rider to watch who you like. Don't press return to me else all you will record is yourself sat on the start line.

Soon as the race starts click on a rider high up the table, then just look out for Cyclechat riders to click on their names

Easy:okay:
all over it now :okay:, we ll address what I do with the clip then another time

Should I create a Splitter, Splitters splitter s thread

There is no need though, we all welcome anyone, anytime:biggrin::okay:

Absolutely agree!

No one owns this thread. It’s going to change organically over time. People disagreeing is part of it. Often people are better at giving opinions rather than taking them. Can’t get on with everyone all of the time etc etc That’s life! But this thread is for everyone and it always should be.

So long as everyone comes here to race fair and have good banter then the rest will take care of itself!

Right - time I got Discord sorted. I'm sure its been asked 100 times. But best earphones/mic for the job?

I have some normal wireless headphones (Bose sports ones) that work fine. I think any headphones with mic is a good start. I’d try and get wireless ones if you can.

My only concern with this is music! I love listening to music whilst riding and genuinely think I’d be slower without it!

Its alright for some, but I couldn't really hear, the talk above all the puffing and panting.

Also it was slightly performance denting when some riders can have a chat whilst im dying just to keep in contact

I value the idea of a spotter giving a little bit of advice about the riders directly beside you

I tend to have my microphone muted on my earphones with music playing through the TV. So can hear music the whole time but still make out what people say, and no one has to listen to my music the whole time

With Tag along, cruising at the back, unleash my devastating sprint;)

Mate that’s the good thing about the TTT. They can play out lots of different ways. You can defo have different riders for different strengths. I’ve managed to tactically avoid the tactica meetings for our team so far. But boy do they go into it!

Definitely agree. I missed the music. I play it pretty loud and I miss it when it’s not there. I actually have different mixes depending on the type of race and think it’s a bit of a secret weapon!
I’ve done similar to Michael. Playing the music though a wireless speaker. But I’d rather have it in my ear. I’ve thought about using one bud each from two sets of headphones. One discord, one music. But it’s not exactly the perfect solution...
