Yes, I get it is a group ride, but can you setup such a ride and only allow certain people to ride it, i.e. like a password protected race/ride on BKOOL?
Only authorised teams/groups can set up official zwift rides or races (ZSUN are one such team) - I've no idea if you can set such a thing to private or password protected

As far as I know, every event has to go through Zwift's Events team, unless it is a meet up, which isn't really a closed race as other riders are seen (and draftable).
I agree

So, if this is a feature, why haven't we used it instead of the CycleChat meet ups?
A) I don't know if the private/password thing is a feature or not, B) because we're not an team/group that's authorised with Zwift to set up group rides or races anyway

It's interesting how the forum is turning into an 'us' and 'them'. This thread was first set up on the request of those staying on Bkool as they didn't want Zwift to taint their thread; with due respect Andy set up this splitters thread. For 3 years we've mostly had good humour and friendly banter but that has certainly changed over the past few weeks, which is sad to see.

It seems that respect has evaporated recently; it would be nice if those who stay on the thread do so because they want to engage with everyone on the thread with respect, but, if all they want to do is try to trigger an argument then maybe the thread is not for them anymore. I don't particularly want anyone to move on as we've had a good group for some time, and clearly it's a free country so no one can be kicked off, but it's getting petty now and is not positive.

Said my piece, take it as you will.

For those racing tonight in all teams and races .... good luck

The usual suspects from the overall standings are all there and (at the moment) no sandbaggers on zwiftpower!
For me tonight, I'll try to concentrate on not getting dropped at the sprints and then seeing how I can hang on up the KoMs. See if I can save some energy by drafting like a wheelsucker that I am ....... ^_^ If I'm there for the 2nd lap then let's see :okay:

Just had a bowl of dried fruit and nuts to try to get a bit of energy in. Charging HRM. Hope legs have something in them :training:

can anyone give me an idiots guide how I can watch the race tonight live if possible??
I think the only way, with closed races, is to join the pen as if racing but then click on another rider. Then, when the race starts you're tracking that rider. I've always struggled to watch closed races ... so if there is another way, I'd be really interested too :okay:

And me.

Just looked on Zwiftinsider and in the post he did about watching races - he had this at the start

"UPDATE: this is an older post which does not include watching riders who are participating in events. To watch those riders you must join their event, then click their name in the riders list to see their viewpoint."

Shame that there isn't another method, like we had in Bkool
