For all the upgrading happening my numbers have been fairly static- although static in a way that means I'm at the pointy end of c more often than not. I do tend to be the only person supertucking every descent but doubt that makes a big difference.
Would love to be in the b's this year at some point, even if I'm dropped at the start of every race.
ZP has me at 'Almost B' too now. My 3 race ave is 3.18 Next time there are hills I'm going to go over I thinkLooks like you've had a race where your ave 95% of 20 mins was B cat level. Average is still below B so you're a C until you flip over. I'm still very close too but not slipped over yet.
He is also 2nd overall across all categoriesMichael is actually in Gold podium position

I’d recommend a structured training programme, I started the “Time Crunched” programme but actually cut it short and started racing and riding outdoors when my target event was cancelled. Never the less, I still saw an increase in power and endurance. That combined with weight loss means I’m now a B, but need to work on my starts! I think you’d be better at the starts, so probably more competitive immediately.
If you're on the margins of another category. Look at this way, boxers, Judo, weightlifters change categories by adding or losing weight to make them competitive in the other class. Nothing wrong with doing the same for cycling

Carl and Chris would only need a kilo or two max to stay competitive in C cat. They will just as fit, but have chances to do well. It will be a little demoralising to keep finishing near the back of a group. By all means go for it and see how they fair.I think that is fine so long as the weight adjustment is a genuine one. So get on the pies guys, or lose even more and get competitive in the next class
I've been lazy on the weight loss front since I lost all the weight up to June last year. I was stuck at 74kg from then until recently; now I'm on the cusp of B again I need to lose some more weight else I'll be off the back in every race! (Either that, or get myself down the kebab shop ). I've just cut out sugar from my coffees, and back to one treat a week (well, I will once the Easter egg has been gobbled!). My time now in C is coming to an end, so need to up the 60 minute power training and up the weight lossI think that is fine so long as the weight adjustment is a genuine one. So get on the pies guys, or lose even more and get competitive in the next class
I was knocked out by my 54th place finish last night!Carl and Chris would only need a kilo or two max to stay competitive in C cat. They will just as fit, but have chances to do well. I reckon Alan is bit happier racing B the busting a gasket trying to stay in A
