Nothing to hand but when I was looking at power pedals I came across a few people complaining about (I think) battery covers and a lack of accuracy/unreliability.
To be fair, there were also people very happy with them, so I'm interested if anyone has some real user experience to offer or to compare against other brands such as Powertap
Hi all. Just catching up and seen my name quoted in reference to the assioma pedals. I can’t really complain at all about them. I’ve the Uno variety - left sided. In terms of
reliability I’vehad them just over a year and half now - probably recharged them a handful of times so batttery life for me isn’t an issue. Recharging is done with a simple magnetic contact so now plugging in or removing charging port covers.
I terms of
accuracy the only thing I can say is that now I’ve upgraded turbo to the Neo2 I’ve found an average 4.5% difference (neo2 lower). I’ve read around 3% can be attributed to drivetrain losses, and guessing that the tolerance on both assioma and neo2 is +/-1% then this would explain the 4.5% I am seeing. End result I’m now a high B rather than low A
, and if I ever get to ride my bike outdoors again then I’ll have to remember my FTP numbers are different on the road compared to Zwift.
I’ve read the comments about cleat compatibility - this for me is a pain as I have 4 bikes, two pairs of cycling shoes, but now one pair is dedicated to the assioma equipped bike so I’ve no spare pair for the odd occasion I get a good soaking.
