I was not feeling my best out there tonight. Not sure why, but legs felt dead, chest tight. I attacked the first KoM amd at about 1/2 way point I was 2nd, then legs just popped! Thankfully @Del C saved my ride by giving mr a wheel until i got my 2nd, or was it 3rd, wind :okay:

Thanks to @mjd1988 disrupting his group we managed to hold them off. We picked up, and dropped a couple of riders but could not drop last last one. I attacked him 4 or 5 times and the bugger kept holding on. I finally got him on the sprint over the line ..... only to find he wasn't registered on ZP so it was a hollow victory

Really good ride Del - a pleasure riding with you. You looked strong, but then you never can tell from an avatar how much effort someone is putting in

Great riding too Michael and Chris - we all came in top 20 :wahhey:

I really annoyed my little group...felt quite bad! Sticky drafted them repeatedly and wheelsucked. The two guys kept attacking until a bigger group caught us and I was the only one that latched on:whistle: which must have been very grating.

Not sure how the sprints went- left the first one too late and was in a bunch sprint.
Didn't know where the second sprint was but remembered the guy at the start saying 13.4km so attacked at that distance nowhere near anything and confused the entire group 😄

Actually really enjoyed that course despite some horrible hills. Hopefully a couple of top 10s for the C's and Chris and I also in the top 20!

A few too many hills for my liking on that course!

Looking at the parcours I was only going to have a chance of getting points by being in the first sprint. With the countdown starting I realised that Zwift had changed my bike to the Zwift Carbon so I made a frantic change in the garage to the Tron bike. Good job I had lined up early at the head of the course as I rejoined the race just at the back. I gave it a lot to make my way up the field and contest the sprint and think I got 4th (is it just the first 3 that got points?).

After the start and the sprint it was no surprise that I got dropped by the lead bunch on the long climb that came soon after and I took it easy until the 2nd bunch caught me up. @Milzy was in this group and it was good to ride with a friendly face and I stayed in this group until 8km from the finish when the cumulative hills took their toll and I was dropped again.

I soloed for the next 5km and then a small bunch dragged me to the finish where we had a mini sprint but I didn't have the fight in me to put much into that.

A good hard race!

Well done @Milzy - It;s a shame you didin;t get into the first bunch as you looked strong in the 2nd group (particularly the climbs where it made all the difference) :okay:

Looks like you cat C lads all had a good race :bravo::bravo:
You looked strong. I felt run down so I had to force my efforts tonight. Maybe I could have hung with the front group if I could have held on but they started off around 400-500 watts. Just a bit extreme for me yet. On the steep hill my Neo was slipping a bit so had to try to be smoother. (Common issue)
I decided to dump the Tron, used the chapter frame with Millianstein wheels instead. That set up did seem to help but in reality there's probably nothing in it. Let's hope next week we will be well enough to race again.

It's a team race

I did see you going to the front then dropping watts to 2.5 w/kg .... and I could just imagine the others being fooked off by the sticky ^_^ Excellent work my friend :notworthy:

Can anyone explain, why the times on ZP are way off for all riders? The same thing happened last week, I think, but not in other rides/races.

The 2 finishing just ahead of me, was 30-40 seconds behind me in-game, and I remember overtaking Oxlund, whereas Neuhaus never caught me..
Times are way out for me as well.

48.42 on the app and 1.04.08 on ZP!

But the most amazing thing tonight was the performance of Petersen.

Despite being dead after last weeks race, he finished 5th in the C race tonight. Truly, he is resurrected!

Chapeau Petersen! :laugh::notworthy:

That was a hard race but I felt good.

I thought you looked strong on the ramps and when you said you were thinking of going for it, I pretty much decided I was going to try and toe you to the line for the sprint. It also kept us ahead of the group behind, aided by @mjd1988 's disruptive tactics! And we managed to finally reel in the other guy who you beat in the sprint. I just couldn't get past him. He has appeared on ZP now between you and me.

As you said, a great ride together and with all 4 of us in the top 20 that should help our points total.

My average 95% w/kg on ZP has just gone to 3.21, but I'm still showing as C category. I'm avoiding pressing the update profile button for now!

2 ninth places and a tenth for me in the sprints. I'm happy with that.

But once again the incredible Petersen took 1st place in the 3rd sprint. He must have been wearing his aero shroud tonight! :notworthy:
