Places changed again in the C cat race☹
Results still not fully up to date - team standings not updated yet. I think with that kid romping away with a C win, the DCU team will jump above us.

I know the kid is U17, but surely a rider pushing 4.1 w/kg shouldn't be classed as C? He's barely in B and almost A .... doesn't feel right as no way any C cat will beat him, and you'd think if he wants to get stronger he'd want to race with people who challenge him?

I am surprised he hasn't been removed from the results yet. I'm guessing he probably took all the later sprints as well so those at the pointy end would be within their rights to be a bit annoyed, only really means a points difference to most of us.

I'm sure I read somewhere that there are special rules for junior riders ... can't recall 100%, but it may even be that they can ride C whatever their power output. I'm not going to be at the pointy end racing him, but does make the power boundaries a bit pointless if you can have someone pushing 4.1 w/kg in C cat .... no C will beat that. Most B's won't beat that to b fair

Edit: just looked at his profile on ZP. His best 3 ave power is 4.34 w/kg So long as he keeps his weight down, and sticks to cycling (instead of beer and girls like the rest of us at his age!!) he looks like a future cycling star in the making :okay:

That Danish boy is really small, only 157cm tall and weight is 42kg if that detail is correct, at least his photo on companion app support that information. Not surprised if he can produced nearly a 4w/kg, that Anton must be born talent to keep up good speed as well.

He may get whooped on a pure flat stage? What is his absolute power like?

His absolute power is v low, which I suppose means it makes sense to have some special rules for younger riders as although he could be winning hilly b races he would probably get destroyed on flat c races as you say.

Well done last night chaps. Some great results - Adam again close to the points in B cat and good to get 3 finishers there. And C cat CCers in the points again :bravo::bravo:.

I've updated our CC mini league table with last night's times.....

I bet he flies up the Alpe ..... that's not a race you want to join if you're after gold in C

Re flat stages, yesterday was flat and he still blew everyone apart - I think this goes back to the post from Bridgy a few weeks ago pointing out that even on flat stages, w/kg is more important than pure power.

Like Michael said is low. I check out his ftp from ZP and it was 180 but during these races it must be lift up a bit but it's still barely a 200, maybe bit under.

I'm sure the Cervelo S3 is faster and it's not that expensive from the drop shop. Tron is so over rated.
Not according to the speed tests that have been done. Unless you're at level 35 or above the fastest bike/wheel combo you can get for flat rolling surfaces is still the Tron bike. At level 35 you can match the Tron, but you have to be at level 45+ to get a frame/wheel combo that's actually faster than the Tron though. I also think there's faster frames than the Cervelo S3 if you're below level 33 - check out the speed tests on Zwift Insider

I've looked at some out of date site, misinformation given. It definitely said the S3 was faster. I've done myself out of a couple of seconds. 😆
