Oh hang on - I'm getting confused! Stage 6 is the one I've already done - Richmond! I was thinking it would be the final Yorkshire stage! I might do something else instead....Moving on swiftly.....
Anyone doing stage 6 tonight? I'm hoping to get on at about 6pm - but can do one of the later ones if it means riding with some of you guys...
....maybe a pootle up Alpe Du Zwift on 100% difficulty - I have a real mountain to train for after all. I can use Tommy's posh Meilenstein Lightweight wheels too as I do actually own those in Zwift!
That's actually a really good idea - thanks. Not used that software before but I've just had a look and it looks great. I see they have a 7 day free trial option too. Not sure I have enough time tonight - I'm assuming Ventoux will take me circa 2 hours unless I really go for it, whilst I can go up and down ADZ in an hour and a half without killing myself. Thanks for teh suggestion and offer - I might do that soon when I've got a bt more time100% sounds unnecessarily harsh on yourself! Good luck though. I don’t think I’ll get home in time to race tonight. I have a bigringvr account though if you’d like to borrow it and have a go up ventoux
Good shout, I'll see how I feel during the catchup period. There is no way I'm going anywhere near the turbo today.Unfortunately that course is one you have to get into a group in order to post a fast time. Riding solo and you just wont have speed on the 75% of the course that is flat. Just read your reason for needing a HR monitor ... else I'd have suggested as per Andy to have ridden without it. Definitely a course to have another go at, as you should be able to beat that time by sitting in a blob with others![]()
might put you in to relapse. My cold seems to have relented somewhat today so I'm considering TdZ stage six (Richmond) tonight. Could be a bad idea that sets me back on my recovery from the cold but I suppose that would be a learning experience!
If I can get stage six done tonight, that keeps me on track to finish the tour so feels like it might be worth the risk. If I play it safe and rest today then I might not be able to finish the tour!

The ride to the bottom of the alpe is around 10mins I think
Its 4.1 miles
Ah okay.If you choose road to sky it takes about 10mins (ish). They changed to the route a few months back. It used to take about 20 mins.
Ah okay.
