Videos about Veloton looks very good what i watch in youtube. It looks very realistic too, you just can't ride thru the avatar like on Zwift. Also collisions are included. Don't know how big error you need to do to cause collision.
Does look good, but would it add a level of complexity to it after all we just want to jump on then get going

For the steering i might need a mitts. I try to do indoor training without wheel block last year and i almost got blisters

You could use the companion app to move left and right. Same whatever the trainer. And it would also allow you to move sideways away from the draft if you don’t want to get locked in. I’m surprised they haven’t already incorporated it to be honest. It seems fairly obvious.
Given how I sweat, I'm not sure i want to be handling my phone without a waterproof covering

Absolutely, all we have to do is wait when final product comes available if we want to test ride it. Easy to return back with Zwift if Veloton doesn't pleased.

I think the steering with Veloton works similar way like Zwift when you go off-road to ride mtb. You need to calibrate steering with companion app and then just turn your handlebar right and left, i think steering on Veloton work something like that.

I think it would be very handy if you could at least shift side to side in zwift.
I’ve mentioned it before here but in 1999 my first VR training program ultracaoch VR/Netathlon now ride, run row, had steering and crashes. You could turn it off and it was just like Zwift. The only difference was you bought the different courses. It came with the Minura ICE trainer that moved magnets in and out of phase with each other.

I’d like to see that feature too. I’m not a fan of the way the steering works in Zwift but then again the plastic milk carton under the front wheel wasn’t the most sophisticated turntable I could have come up with. It would be good for avoiding the sticky draft effect plus it would be interesting if it allowed you to steer and force riders behind into the wind like in real racing.

Road Grand Tours had a nice feature where it would show how much draft benefit you were getting from the rider in front variable by distance behind you were. ZwifT need to add this feature as well as the nice haircuts and gloves.

My Neo vs Assioma comparisons continue. I did a ramp test last week to see the comparison at different watts inERG mode.

All very close at the lower power range but the deviation grew nearer the top end. The difference was around 15w or just under 4%. The test itself didn’t go so well as I wasn’t originally planning to do it but enough of the excuses ^_^

I found The article below suggesting even a new chain accounts for 3% losses so I guess I can’t complain with the results I am seeing. Just never easy seeing ftp go down but the biggest hit I took was going from bkool power to the assiomas a year ago.

1:07:50 for me today. I'd hoped this course would be more suited to me as a fat lad with a reasonable kick for short periods of time. I was wrong

Bad start, I noticed a couple of hundred yards in that my HR monitor hadn't woken up, while fiddling with it it pinged off the strap and onto the floor. With the fast start, by the time I got back on the bike I was last and so far behind that I had no chance of ever getting into a large group.
Should probably have abandoned the ride at that point, but no, I'm an idiot.

Power tailed off on the last climb so I think I paced the overall ride better than previous efforts, but for much of the ride I was solo'ing which seriously dinted my time on the flat sections.

In other news, lost 8 lbs since the start of the year. Some of it might not even be sweat!

That graph has reminded me I need to oil my chain .Its making a horrible noise which I don’t normally hear above the music, the
panting and fans😁

Interesting to see such a small difference between single sided assioma d the NEO-probably suggests you have pretty good left right balance ? Also reflects very well on the pedals.

Al in the past you’ve proven what an honest bloke you are mate. If I were you I’d carry on using the power pedal. You’re not gaining watts by using the pedal. You’re losing watts by using the neo. It’s pretty common knowledge the neo under reads power. If you think because most of us have neo’s we under read too and you want a level playing field then fair enough. But I’d at least use it in your cat A races where lots of the fields are also using power meters. Some of them most likely much less reliable than yours.

I think it just means that it’s consistently the same power difference between legs not that they’re necessarily giving out the samw . If his other leg is stronger than the one being used, but still as consistent the two power lines would be further apart.

personally i think when Al races us the least he could do is put drawing pins in his shoes , i think this would be a fair handicap :okay:^_^ and maybe tommy could go barefoot

Lee I’m going to tell you the same thing I told the woman who lives opposite. I don’t mind cycling with my top off and the curtains open. But the superman pants, and the shoes stay on!
