Just finished the Richmond stage. Wheezing like an asthmatic smoker at the finish and confused by the times that Zwift reported. I wasn’t able to give it much brain power but I thought my elapsed time was just over 50m but the results screen said 51m

Zwiftpower isn’t working right now so can’t confirm there but I reckon my time was approx 50m 20s. If so, @Whorty has gained some time back with two stages to race (for me, and one for you Carl).

It’s going to be close!

Zwift companion app will have a more accurate time for you

I managed to finish TdZ stage 6 thanks to Brendan , I was about to throw in the towel as I had snot steaming all down my face and was felling it hard, I saw Brendan’s name pop up on the screen to the right and thought bugger it in for a penny in for a pound so gave it all I had and pulled away on the last climb.

Companion app has me timed at 50:27, I also got a FTP increase to 242. Glad it’s over
Nice going Chris and Brendan :wahhey: Cat C riders are on fire :highfive:

Likely Thursday for me too, probably look to do 6 o'clock if others interested :okay:

Either 5 or 6 to be honest....depends when I get back from work.

Very tempted to get Stage 7 out of the way tomorrow night. I can't usually manage a long ride on a midweek evening, but looking at the course, I should be able to get this one done in under an hour (but only just), which makes it feasible. But it does depend a lot on getting out of work on time, my train not being late (as it was tonight) and a few other things going to plan. Even with all that, I'll still only get in the door 10-15 minutes before the start of the 8pm ride... I might end up doing the race version instead as that starts at 8:13 (for D category anyway) and is half the distance.

Al in the past you’ve proven what an honest bloke you are mate. If I were you I’d carry on using the power pedal. You’re not gaining watts by using the pedal. You’re losing watts by using the neo. It’s pretty common knowledge the neo under reads power. If you think because most of us have neo’s we under read too and you want a level playing field then fair enough. But I’d at least use it in your cat A races where lots of the fields are also using power meters. Some of them most likely much less reliable than yours.
Just catching up after a busy day.
thanks Tommy. If most of you guys are on Neos/kickr then I’ll stick with my neo for our races.
I’m in two minds about the cat A races. I do see that a lot of other riders use their PMs as power source - like many on the Fusion team. * Fusion are the same team that insist on dual recording for their own events. The folks on my other team - BRT - mostly use their turbo with PM as secondary- they’re trying to set a good example. Doesn’t help me as on the neo I am borderline A and I wouldn’t be surprised if I drop to B once my 90 day PBs drop out of the category calculator.
Plus it Doesn’t feel right spending nearly a grand on a trainer and not using it to its full capability

Alan if everyone was as honest as you then zwift racing would be a far more honest place 👍
