I'll certainly take a look at that.

I know I didn't attack on the hills, but it is a tough course on the flats.
Hopefully I can stay with you first lap and up the climbs, then if you need me I can try to bury myself to bridge to any groups. We'll see if we can get you sub 50:00 :hugs: Anyone else up for playing domestique to del

I'm in the same boat - came down with the sniffles yesterday and won't be able to complete Richmond tomorrow. Aiming to get Harrogate completed on Thursday, then catch up Inssbruck or Richmond at the weekend then the other next week. If I can't complete Harrogate before the weekend then the schedule will be too tight for me and I doubt I will complete the tour.

Probably music to @Whorty 's ears. Cat C is still wide open!! :okay:
I'm all good - winning is Ok, but the taking part is the fun bit :wahhey:

I'm with you there - can't see the benefit of steering, it's just a gimmick
I had a tacx steering frame once attached to my Tacx Cycleforce Basic trainer. That was a long time ago, i was upgraded that trainer for i-magic then. It was luxury those days to have a virtual room to your pain cave. Only opponent was your previous rides if you want to select any. As far as i remember that virtual world need that steerer, there wasn't any automatic steerer in a program like what Zwift have. Those days i could live with that steering frame because that give me liberty to choose direction, despite it was must.

I've got London to do and I might have another pop at Innsbruck I feel I could of done better.
I'll probably have another go at Innsbruck too - I had a nightmare ride, especially on the KoM. Will need a good turnout though as without a group to ride with Innsbruck is a hard course to go fast on the flats.

I was thinking of doing Richmond again and trying a different approach, much like you describe.

Unfortunately my son and daughter in law decided that now was a top time to pass a bug to me. I'm sitting at home feeling sorry for myself, achy and tired, yet certain in the knowledge that @<Tommy> would possibly award me as much as -4 out of 10 for that. xx(

Del wasn’t it your son in law that passed the bug onto you that stopped you doing Flanders a year or two back? I’d give him a wide berth the month before ventoux mate 😷

I think it would be very handy if you could at least shift side to side in zwift.

I'd prefer them to remove the sticky draft when you approach slower riders first - that is a friggin pain in the butt.

Problem with steering is it won't be available to everyone due to the vast mix of trainers out there, so it won't create a level playing field.

Videos about Veloton looks very good what i watch in youtube. It looks very realistic too, you just can't ride thru the avatar like on Zwift. Also collisions are included. Don't know how big error you need to do to cause collision.

Isn't Veleton single user, or is it multi-user? It looks good for sure :okay:

You could use the companion app to move left and right. Same whatever the trainer. And it would also allow you to move sideways away from the draft if you don’t want to get locked in. I’m surprised they haven’t already incorporated it to be honest. It seems fairly obvious.

I think you're right! Wait until I see him............. or not see him as I'm going to follow your advice!

I hadn't realised how ill I was. I read my original post back. I don't have a son and daughter in law............ I have a daughter and son in law!
