@mjd1988 I see you're signed up for the B ride at 2 today .... if you want this to be a league ride you need to be in the A ride (the Leith Hill after party). I've just signed up for this too, but with tired legs I won't be at full wack, so if you fancy company let me know :okay:

I'm going to do the b distance as a social ride, I think if I do the a distance I'll either not be able to rein it in or I'll not be able to make myself do it again at a decent pace
Just saw this .... if you change your mind, let me know. I plan to tempo around on the flat part of the course, latch onto a group (there will be loads to ride with), then only work when I get to the Hill for the final 15 minutes. This worked well for me on the ToL recently.

Did stage 1 this morning but not at full pelt as I was riding with a friend and trying to make it a "recovery" ride of sorts. 1:08:54 though, in case I don't get to do it again for some reason, or if I went faster than I thought!

Might start the a group after all then and see how I find it, guess I can always bail out at Leith if feeling rubbish

My plan is leave the pens at about 220 watts, then find a group of about 20-30 pushing about 200-210 watts (I'm hoping we can have a few stronger riders pulling at the front :whistle: ). This should give me a decent time, then when I get to Leith I should have enough left in the tank to climb a decent time.

I need to do ramp test someday to find out my current ftp, i am pretty sure that my ftp is not 246 anymore, it's more like 220-230. Need to set workouts right level.

I'll be in the same ride as you, but looking more at a 200 watts start and a 180 watts group to drag me round to the final climb.
