Might try and make that. Starting to feel a bit more human today, dying to get some form of workout done, but likely won't be going full pelt

Right ..... back to the handicap starts ..... I did a test today that was quite positive. I created a meetup (I had to invite someone, so chose randy as I knew he wasn't riding at the moment so hopefully wouldn't get confused!).

Anyway, this is what I did. As countdown to start hit 0 I started my stop-watch and pedaled for a second to put me in the ride. I then hit the A key to go to pairing screen. I stayed in the pairing screen for (according to my stop-watch) 2 minutes. I then came out of the pairing screen and started riding as I would do if I was starting at my handicap time .... the positive was that the ET time on the screen matched exactly what my stop-watch said. That is, the ride time continued whilst I was in the pairing screen.

Now, what I don't know is if :
a) this is unique to the meetup organiser
b) it only works if you pedal for a second before going to the pairing screen (rather than going to the pairing screen before the count down hits zero)
c) if it works the same on Apple TV as I have a Windows PC

Anyway, what this means for me personally is I now have no excuse of getting my start time correct

I got that notice of an invite on my phone and was going to go against my doctors orders and drag myself to the shed because Whorty needs me.

I see a couple of you signed up for the zwift race this morning (juhal, bridgy) good luck !
It looks like a nice course.
I would of joined you if I’d of realised but I’d already been on a while and I’ve earmarked today to ‘get rid’ of all the Prosecco left over from Christmas so I need to turn my attention to that ASAP if I’m going to get through it 🤞

Just done the first stage of the TDZ but only the B group. Not sure my body could cope with a hill today given I came off badly outside last week. I noticed that I was getting xp at 0.8 of a mile rather than 0.0 of a mile....so 0.8, 1.8 etc. Is that normal?

I'm going to do the b distance as a social ride, I think if I do the a distance I'll either not be able to rein it in or I'll not be able to make myself do it again at a decent pace

If you switch to metric you get exp 7.3% faster. Not that I care that much
