I was thinking sell NEO, sell all ultrega hydro and other bits off best bike including my Hunt Wheels and that Atom is all mine. Fortunately I won't be able to get it up into the attic where I train ^_^

I read the dcrainmaker review earlier. Seems there's a few things that need improving. Some software issues which shouldn't be too big a deal to amend hopefully. Also apparently the shifters aren't as tactile as they could be.
Having said that... I'm picturing where it's going to sit in the spare room. Oh dear...

Bob yours is an easy problem to solve. First step is convincing your wife you need to get a fairly large sky light installed to increase the value of the house. Next step is hiring a crane. You're welcome :okay:

Andy,
Angus from La Vie en Velo took a group up Ventoux yesterday ( wind rain and lightening!) and is going up again today. He is a nice guy so if you see his van going up say hello.
Good luck and enjoy - it is a great ride. I wish I was going up with you talking some bollux:laugh:

My ftp was 238 at 74k (though now 73k and aiming for 70) so I tried to ride 260 from the start and stay there thinking 238 would be the outcome  I will do another one at the end of the academy but will take the same sensible approach as you.

I think we are fairly similar in weight and power - I weigh 71KG and the FTP test at the start of ZA gave me an FTP of 213. Not sure what gains I can expect from the program, but I'm hoping to get to 250 - it's a nice round figure

Have been eyeing up some of the races, and surprised to see I am in theory a cat C. I expected to be cat D - I don't consider myself to be particularly fit and have never raced before (either on Zwift or in real life) so will have a steep learning curve in the races that form prat of the ZA program!

I swear, those 67 rpm @ 225 watt felt like 300 watt in the legs , but HR told me otherwise.
The sprints were nearly impossible on the Bkool, since the wheel would slip if I stood up. Had to do them all sitting down.

After the sprint one would expect the ERG to loosen its grip, but it took forever. The damn thing was screaming to me to spin faster (100 rpm). Yeahh right, you try that in 50/11 gear at max resistance and 5 RPM .
I didn't find the 230@67 hard -- that's pretty close to where I climb steep stuff, I could have just done a single 25 minute work interval. THe 145@100 was much harder for me :-) I thought more than once about skipping the rest portion, but figured the higher than usual RPM spin was good for me.

The sprints were tough. The first was virtually impossible as I didn't enter it with a respectable cadence. I couldn't remember the hot key to turn off ERG mode and whatever I hit took me back to the start of the workout. Many "tab" presses later I was spinning well and started sprint #2 which was hard, but manageable. Note I still haven't disabled ERG at this point. Stopped pedaling to force ERG to disengage, then started pedaling again in preparation for #3, but damn ERG re-engaged prior to the effort. Arggh. I gave up on #4. I'll have to put a sticky note on my monitor for the turn off ERG key...

Back from Summit of Ventoux via Sault-long old day making our way round to Sault then the ascent. I was feeling a little fatigue before I started the ascent. Good weather apart from the wind, which eventually took its toll. So glad I had the gearing. When the wind dropped in the sheltered sections my speed was vey close to the Simulation rides, but not when the wind hit me. Got gopro of the final ascent and fantastic descent back into Malaucene, will post when home (assuming anyone is interested).

I suspect the cingles is out of reach in terms of time and fitness., Really slow for me, compared to one of the organisers-Alberto who chased us all down and set a time of 1hr11mins:notworthy::eek: for the ascent from Sault. That nearly 15 mins faster than one of the guys with us who is a feather weight rider.

Well done Andy:okay:

I imagine the bit from Sault out past the bridge before you enter the tress must have been pretty exposed? Then shelter for the steep wooded bit before it levels out and you sprint to CR and then much more slowly up and up past Tommy's memorial to the top, battered by the wind. Oooh, I am almost there. 9heads off to strava )

re cingles-just dont do 50km before you give it a go!

It is worth doing 2 ascents at least and then seeing how you feel?

Jeff, will you turn Erg off at the setup screen for the workout! I am worried about your knees!

I think I have only ever finished one race-tend to go far too hard as this lot will confirm^_^

My legs are sore after 210km on turbo this week. So, Zsun chain gang tomorrow for me and then ZA race thursday at 8pm.

Pretty much it Bob, each turn had something different for wind, if I don't complete anything else I can say I did get to the summit . The organizers are thinking of changing the itinerary around because of the wind, should know tonight. A little breeze is welcome because it has been getting pretty hot in the sheltered sections

Well done mate, definitely one off the bucket list .

Now come on, for those of us who can't be bothered to trawl through both your strava feeds. Did 'Old dodgy knee' beat you up the hill or not?!

Yea. But I prefer ERG for the other section. If I see another profile which has me jumping from resting to nearly 800W I'll just turn that section into a free-form ride (which disables ERG for just that section) and use sticky notes to keep track of what I'm supposed to do in those sections.

Knees are fine. Only slightly sore in the quads. I could probably ride today if I wasn't so far behind at work.

Watopia Hilly. Ugh. It's real tight on time. My efforts have been between 1:02 and 1:07 and realistically I've got to be off the bike at 1:05.

The podium boys will probably be 57-58 minutes. Dean & Martin have clocked in at 59 on that course. I suspect the fast group will drop me during that first climb, but I'm going to see how long I can hang on. I'll look for you in the zsun kit.
