How was it on counterclockwise?. Steepest climbs seems to be about 17%.

19% at one point.
I was only spinning to get a look at the views. It will sap the legs. 2/3 lap races clockwise or counter or, if possible, a mix of the 2, will be hard. It won’t just suit the lightweights either but those who can keep up the power over what are relatively short inclines.

It probably makes a legs cry at a race events. If it's possible i am gonna do recon ride tomorrow and ride both ways.

Ah, problem with doing Yorkshire on Thursday - it's not the guest world on that day! We'll have to wait until it becomes available on a Thursday, or schedule a race for a different day if needed. Will schedule a London route for Thursday for now...

I see a couple of you have tried out the Yorkshire world on Zwift already. I will set up Thursday's race for Yorkshire - probably the "Royal Pump Room 8" route which is 27.5km/17.1m and does the Harrogate circuit in both directions so should be a good length for a race...
Should be fun  I can't do Thursday so may have to have a go either today or tomorrow .... set a decent time at least for others to chase :okay:

Edit: just saw your update. Seems I'll have to wait to do stage 3 until London is back on the circuit list.

It's London on Wednesday too if you can do it then (or use the world hack to ride London any time)

Ive just ridden the Yorkshire route. There are lots of long drags 4-6% corresponding descents and some sharp shorties to contend with

I wasnt that enthused by the route, I was putting down a TR base fitness marker. Im so unfit currently:sad:

I haven't tried it yet but I'm not sure that "lumpy" courses with lots of changes of gradient makes for a particularly enjoyable virtual route to ride or race on a trainer. And whilst I do like the graphics on Zwift generally, to be honest it doesn't really matter to me what the "view" is like as I'm rarely taking any notice, particularly when racing!

Unfortunately can't ride Weds, Thurs, Fri this week so may have to use the hack. Going to stick with Yorkshire today though to get used to the course a bit more.

Pfft! We don’t race to enjoy ourselves! :biggrin:Lumpy courses at least, in theory, even out the advantages each of us may have either on the flat or straight uphill. And the view is important for those languishing at the back, something to focus on rather than pain and failure
