It didn't work at all. It raise my blood pressure to 200/110. So we change medicine today (keeping fingers crossed).
.

Hope you get it sorted asap

I got left for dead in a short flat race last night (28min, 36km).

Joined it because the timing worked well and haven’t ridden for a few days so wanted something short and punchy. It was definitely that!

I normally go for longer races with a bit of climbing, so 36km flat was a shock. Held it in the bunch on the flats but left for dead on the sprint and came 19/26 with the highest average HR of anyone in the race!

I often have the lowest HR. Not because I'm fit but because I'm an old git and my max HR these days is 157.

I can't do the next 3 weeks.

Pub tomorrow and off to Annecy for a cycling trip with friends the following 2 Thursdays.

After that, I'm generally ok, but do have a couple of other non-cycling breaks lined up for September and October.
I've just been to Annecy last week - was scorching hot while we were there. Don't know if you've been before but the lake, and the old town are both wonderful - really enjoyed it there. I didn't do any cycling from Annecy, just a day later in the holiday over in Morzine, but I hope you enjoy the cycling as well as the lake/views/architecture/bars and restaurants!

Doesn't look like there's much interest neyond you and me @TurboTommy . How about we both do the Hare & Hounds at 6pm together if that's not too early for you?

Hi mate. I’ve just been up the alp do thsts me done for the day I’m afraid. I didn’t think they’d be a race tonight to be honest.

With the hare and hounds or any other race if I enter C cat will I automatically get disqualified? I still can’t put my hand down on the bars so I’m going to be off the pace. Do I need to enter a B cat race and get downgraded?

"Tour of Denmark" time trial on eurosport right now. Much the same route as I did in the 2018 gran fondo TT, but only half the distance with less sharp turns . Conditions about the same, although quite a bit warmer. Should be interesting to compare my speed against the top world tour riders. I would expect them to average at least 10 kph faster.

Not sure with H&H races to be honest whther you HAVE to enter your ZP assigned CAT or if DQ's ar eonly enforced if you go over that CAT's W/KG limit.

However, I just looked at your ZP profile and it looks like your category has expired (probably because you haven't enmtered a race for over 90 days) so you can currently enter races at whatever category you like!

I would like to give you some praise for your improved performance but because you won't sell us Greenland, forget it!

Randy, we are doing you a favor ^_^.
It's melting away fast, and in a few years there'll be nothing left but a lump of dirt.

Martin Toft Madsen, the winner - exactly 10 kph faster than me .
