When they operated they left the sarcasm in then ?
Not only that they packed me off with enough codeine to sink a battle ship.
Here all day folks...

Didn't realise you had an op on the arm?

Here all day folks...
Any ideas what I could be doing all day, from the comfort of my sofa?
Didn't realise you had an op on the arm?
My arm is fine ..... but that only accounts for 2 minutes of the day. Barely an advert break's worth of distractionI can think of a few. Or you could just watch the racing if like me your arm isn’t much use at the mo...
All day folks, all day.......
Ouch. GWS mate.Yeah yesterday. The gap between the bones in my wrist was too wide apart to heal and they were worried the lack of blood flow would lead to the bone disinter grating over time and arthritis so they’ve stuck a screw in it. 6 weeks in a cast they reckon. I woke up this morning and the pain was pretty bad so I hit the pills early. Good news is, contrary to medical opinion, drinking bourbon really takes take the nausea out of the equation.
(For me, if not for you guys reading my drivel...)

Looks like a breakaway win today, but could see some splits in GC. Nibali for the win? Alaphilipe may finally crack but I hope not. G will lose his 2nd place. Bernal will come out as the best placed Ineos rider. Pinot will move into yellow.
Cummings will again be as pointless as he's been on every other stage this year (how does he get picked and not Cav?!?)
Lots of predictions I like it!
Regarding g Cummins I’m not sure. It’s not like anyone on DD has done anything. Maybe cav getting dropped and the way he’s been dropped has killed morale. The perfect Team owner should basically just stfu, write the cheques, and leave the racing decisions to the people who know racing. That goes for any sport. Cummins is not really a team player. Either he’s feeling strong and gets in a break away or you don’t see him all day. And so far he’s not looked great.
I’d be surprised if there’s big splits in GC today unless someone has a nightmare but I’m no expert!
It looks like the perfect stage for nibali. But has he got it in the tank this year? Below is quotes from Italian paper. All’s not well in that team... but Rohan Gettingg off the bike halfway through a stage and walking off the tour prob fave that away
What's going on, Vincenzo?
"What was supposed to happen. I came here to aim for a few stages: I can't handle two GTs in a row as a leader. The team asked me to contest for GC. I obeyed and got exhausted. Now if I go to the breakaway I'm burn out: I'm human".
What if you didn't have to contest for GC?
"I would have lost time on the first day. Everything would have been different.
Why did Bahrain not respect the agreement?
"Ask them."
We don't know to whom. The new manager designated by the emirs (the English Ellingworth) has not arrived, the old (Copeland) is not here.
"Who's in charge? Well. They command in two or three. It's not a simple situation, there's no guidance. In cycling, you need a boss who understands cycling. I've had three: Ferretti, Amadio, Vinokourov. It worked".
What could not work in such a situation?
"That to please the sponsor they send you ten days in winter pre-season on a small Croatian island without roads to train.
When you signed with Bahrain, you knew what you were up against.
"That's true.
Your partner Dennis left the Tour in the middle of stage 12 for no reason.
"Rohan went crazy, like "Falling Down" (reference to the movie with M. Douglas, the italian name of the movie would translate in english A day of ordinary madness). He may have been right on a lot of technical issues but he overthought. In cycling you don't have to think too much otherwise stress kills you but not even too little because it's not professional".
For a champion to stay at the Tour even 50 km from the first is that professional?
"Yes, it's a way to test one's limits, to deepen one's ability to suffer. I don't have a virus, I don't have a fever. Why do I have to go home?"
Is being in the back restful?
"No. I went on the breakaway and when the group caught me I was cooked, boiled. It was hard.
How is the Tour at the end of the group?
"I wasn't at the end of the line (laughs): the sprinters were five minutes behind. It's a different perspective. I was with Matteo Trentin and at the base of the climb we could see the first ones, very far away. He told me: "We're used to seeing you there, it's funny having you by our side". Reversal of roles".
Ultimately, you are not sad.
"Not at all. I rest and get ready for the second part of the season. Then 2020 stimulates me: there are Olympics and World Championship on routes that seem to suit me.
And the GTs? Are you too old for GC?
"This "too old" thing makes me crazy. In what way? And compared to what? Do I stay home without contesting? Two months ago I finished 2nd in the Giro, 1' from the winner. Have I aged in two months? I decide when I'm too old.
Who wins this Tour?
"If he can manage himself, Alaphilippe. Sunday he lost a few seconds but he has an extraordinary condition. Alternatives? Pinot and Thomas on an equal level.
That could be the deciding factor today. Sagan complained about it yesterday. The riders have to ensure they stay hydrated and fed. May mean they all ride conservatively, or could result in attacks that puts pressure on certain contenders. I guess we will see later who is feeling strong today and who is looking to sit on and not workToday is a tough day in Tour. Profile is not toughest but temperature make this stage harder. Yesterday temperature was about +40°C and today it's not much cooler.
Yes and Alaphilippe said his interview that he was using lot of ice yesterday, so everyone suffered more or less. I have a Netatmo weather station our backyard where sun is shining directly now and now the temperature shows +32°C. So i could have a little taste too how it feels ride such a temperatures. That could be the deciding factor today. Sagan complained about it yesterday. Not seen that interview .... that's really interesting. As a bit of a trouble maker at work myself I like that he's so honest. Plus (if rumours are correct) he's off to Trek next year to ride with Porte so he probably doesn't care too much now for Bahrain Merida.
Seems a few teams are not happy at the moment. Movistar are certainly not a bundle of joy (Landa going past Quintana without even a glance was so telling) and I'm not 100% sure Ineos is in a good place (G is turning into Wiggo and being a bit of a prima-donna). Could be a new world order?
I think France deserves a home grown winner, so I'm behind Pinot and Alaphilipe, in that order
If you typed all that with your bad hand you ought to get back to work you layabout !Lots of predictions I like it!
