I remember Voeckler. Was it his first Tour when he kept yellow jersey about 10 days or was it even longer. He stole the show in that year and got attention. He was like a yo-yo man, drop many times from the group and then returned back in. Cycling needs his kind of personalities.
He was also the house wife’s choice.

Family day

Dusted off the Scott suspension MTB had it Rutland water with the family. So long since Ive been on the Scott. The kids hired MTB Ebikes, £28 each. I lead them round until the biggest 1/4 mile climb, where I was left in the dust. Rutland was teeming with visitors, so caution needed navigating the route. A picnic was laid out for us on our return to the finish at Whitwell carpark. Lovely day out.

I would guess a 3 hours drive by car. It's not that far but driving though the alps is time consuming. I was at the foot of the alps in Italy, at the Iseo and Garda lakes.

Ah, I wasn't sure where you were. We drove past Garda on the way to Milan Airport. We were in Cortina to start with, then La Ville then Bormio.

Well that trip was brilliant. Went with Marmot Tours (here is the link to this trip if anyone is interested https://marmot-tours.co.uk/holidays/classic-cols-of-the-dolomites/ ) and they were excellent.

The scenery in the Doloties was amazing - the downside was the traffic, which was heavy at times and a bit Italian if you get my drift.

My highlights were riding the Stelvio and the Mortirolo - just f@#king awesome. Oh and the descents - got a new record of 57.7 mph

FFS - the Tour highlights tonight on ITV4 are pants. In 30 mins we've had less than 5 minutes of actual cycling. Even my wife is getting frustrated!
