FFS - the Tour highlights tonight on ITV4 are pants. In 30 mins we've had less than 5 minutes of actual cycling. Even my wife is getting frustrated!

Could of been worse. You could of watched it live ^_^. Not much itv 4 can do about it if there’s not much to show. After a couple of days of brutal climbing and after a rest day where everyone stiffens up a bit it’s not really a surprise a lot of the riders take it as an un-official day off. One for the sprinters today.

Sad seeing fulsang have to bail. I like his style.

There’s lots of descending tomorrow so that should liven it up a little :okay:

There are quiet days .... and there are 10 minutes wasted on a photographer and a bloke who won the race 40 odd years ago

Next 3 days should be fun :okay: Not so much for the riders, but certainly for us spectators  Just hope everyone stays safe in that heat.

It was a poor stage tbh. The rest has to be good now that’s out of the way. All you need to see is G fall off & Ewans powerful sprint from the back.

Is there a way that you can display the whole stage profile so you know what is coming.
Also is there a way you can keep your chain on when you are about to win the only time likely on the Of of the MAAP tour? Fek!
The routes you can see from Zwiftpower or Zwift itself. Its a case of study or riding to learn the course. If its a multi lap event then try remember the important climbs and finish line. Chain catchers are available to minimize chance of dropping off chainring

How is The house coming along? The last report was a flooded foundation.

I think we’ve been a bit spoiled to be honest. All the hilly stages make for great racing. Even most the flatter stages haven’t been all that flat so they’ve been ridden like clsssics. Shame cav isn’t around to light up the flat stages like he used to and make them more watchable. The way Ewan won that sprint coming from so far back did have me thinking of cav though.

Today’s stage could be good. Was it 2011 when schleck bottled it going down hill and he lost a load of time? Admittedly I think it was raining and he’d just lost a teammate a few months earlier in a crash. But maybe someone loses time today.

In a word no. And it’s a bit annoying at first. Zwift have so much other crap on the screen there’s no room for it. But after a while you get familiar with the courses. I’m not that familiar with some of them yet so I normally ask someone before a race how much climbing there is just to have a general idea.

Also I think lots of people reduce the realism to avoid having to shift gear at crucial points like that.

Also you might not remember whole courses at first. But I’ve found that the lead ins to finishes are the first things that become familiar to me.

No way to see it on screen, but I've learned the courses over time so know when each dip, lump, flat etc is coming on all courses (except NY, just can't get my head around the high section!). You'll find most racers who are on there frequently will be the same.

Take London flat, for example. Once out the blocks and settled into a group along the North bank riders will hold back, as they all know the climb up Northumberland Ave is coming up. Some who don't know the course will have their noses in front here, but experienced racers will be sitting in getting ready for that big push.

Each course will have sections where attacks take place, or riders sit in and rest. It really is a case of riding and learning the courses though :okay:

Bad news today .... HID is in pain and needs me to help and look after her. Hmmmmm, can't do any work then (called client and told them I won't be online today for them). What to do now, what to do? Any ideas what I could be doing all day, from the comfort of my sofa?:wahhey:
