I would guess a 3 hours drive by car. It's not that far but driving though the alps is time consuming. I was at the foot of the alps in Italy, at the Iseo and Garda lakes.

It's been a great tour. I really can't see him lasting the 3 weeks but also didn't see him dropping G on the tourmalet! He is like a more talented Tommy voeckler, makes it v exciting going forward.

I remember Voeckler. Was it his first Tour when he kept yellow jersey about 10 days or was it even longer. He stole the show in that year and got attention. He was like a yo-yo man, drop many times from the group and then returned back in. Cycling needs his kind of personalities.
