Fun but hard work with Paul putting the hammer down, a little cooked for Box, so didn't have the usual power for it. Dean did it to me again a dumped me on the hill. I just couldn't keep within 10 seconds or I might have caught him on the run for the line. I wa 40secs behind and he crossed the finish only 6 seconds in front. Well done Dean and everyone. 37.31 Zwift verified
i was taken aback to see you and Tommy riding when you said you weren't
, and i was expecting a much more faster start and that's why I went like a bat out of hell at first
Cheers Andy i was hoping to get you on box hill and when i did i hoped a ride on and a bit of bait would help you but i had the feeling you was cooked, and i thought near the end you'd put down some watts to catch me so i was keeping a very close eye on your w/kg.
I must try riding from my bed next timei was taken aback to see you and Tommy riding when you said you weren't

It's really odd that the parts I either fail or partially pass tend to be the low power sections. I put it down to me taking a chance to reposition myself or stretch the legs after a hard section and not being able to maintain the cadence so the power falls offI did Wk 4, workout 4 on Monday. I know exactly what you mean as I wasn't looking forward to that one, particularly the long block in the middle (16 mins?) where it's mainly at threshold with a bit of tempo. I was able to get over that block though (just) and that gave me confidence that I could make it to the end of the workout at 100%, which I just about managed.
After that I could see why Chris Hoy used to train with a mattress next to his turbo, so he could just fall off his bike at the end of a session!![]()

. Still I'll see how I do tomorrow.Moving time 43:01 I can’t remember exactly the crossing line time but similar.

You must have flown off the line as the first time I even realised you was in the race was when me and Bob caught you at the top of Box.
I hope I at least made you work a little hard
Well done allGreat with some company Tommy, had my eyes firmly on the meter countdown, getting ready to sprint with about 200 meters lft, only to discover I was right at the banner
. So no sprint this time.
. Because I don’t know any of the courses and I wasn’t on the official ride I never got the countdown. So I just tried to stay ahead of you across that overhead banner but then you carried on going so...
. I had a feeling we’d still be a big group at the bottom of the hill and that’s how it turned out. I felt ok to be honest. I think the little battles we’re having our going to help us both as your push me to my limit.https://www.strava.com/activities/2197745087Place a link from your Strava,. we all can then follow you, vice versa![]()
