My first race after holiday was a bit of a struggle and disaster in the end. I went off hard hanging onto the front group for 2-3 miles finding it quite difficult to get my breathing and HR under control. We went into the dusty roads and I couldn't see a thing, only to find inthe other side my group had pulled 15 seconds on me. It was then I realised I had been riding with the A/B group, no wonder it was a struggle. I was now 35 seconds in front of the C pack, so decided to ease off a little regain my composure and see if they caught me. They did in the crest of the first hill. We rode together slowly dropping riders till there was about 8 of us left. Arrived the second hill and there was very little left in the legs and began to get dropped, when pop the power went off and I lost everything.
To be honest I was pleased because I would of finished where I was at the bottom of the last climb. A bit of shock to the body after a week of food and drink indulgence.

Next time.

Edit I will pull the UPS from the loft to protect the PC/trainer and TV from power outage next time

Just done 10miler
Scewer came tiny bit loose again but really enjoyed it
Any ideas how I am gonna get over the w/kg issue ?
Up your weight 5kg on zwift. That will reduce your W/kg ratio and drop you into the C cat.

is there anywhere i can see what W/kg i did earlier ?

Look at the strava ride it will have an average power. Divide by weigh in kg should give you a guide, if you were trying hard. Do two or three rides on different courses to get a good idea. If you want to ride in B cat don't adjust weight or add a little for C
