I was with someone today who is 173cm and I was slightly taller than him even though he had trainers on and I was in my socks. I think Mrs B and my eldest son have tricked me!
Sounds like a domestic conspiracy ^_^

Well that was hard again. 81 minute race. I like the Innsbruck Ring - with basically 6 laps of an 80 second VO2 effort at about 4.5W/Kg followed by 12 minutes of sweet spot / over-unders. I had identified the C rider with a lower (better) rating than me and marked him out. I ended up in a group of 4 with him and 2 others. I kept letting a gap appear and making him close it and then was able to out climb him on the last ascent of the Kleiner Hugel, and stay away with one other rider who I beat for the final sprint.

Felt like good training today.

Well done:thumbsup:

You 2 guys are smashing D cat :okay: Podium virtually every race :bravo:
Jonathan's power is downright scary.

I suspect some of my success is race selection. While 3R does some climbing races, it appears flat stuff runs more often and they've run at times convenient for me. There's no doubt my results would be significant different if I were doing more climbs. I certainly hope that I can get back to where I was about this time last year. I distinctly remember the elation at posting a PB followed by another top-5 effort on Box Hill during a race -- and for the first time sticking with the lead group through both climbs. I had nothing left afterwards, but it was a huge mental win.

We lose fitness (and gain weight) so easily, but it's so hard to gain that lost fitness (or lose the extra weight)

Keep sticking at it Jeff. I remember those Bkool days when you would beat me .... think of those days and come and chase me down :okay:

We on for tomorrow add?

It’s an open invite really if anyone wants to do a bit of hill climbing then I’m going to try and make it a regular Monday evening thing. It doesn’t have to be a race!
Which platform? Zwift or BRVR?

Edit: I may need a head start
