Is @Whorty back yet? Trying to figure out if i need to protect my league position or not...
You’re just over five minutes clear of Carl. Given the slowest time plus 5% for not taking part is likely to be around 26-27 minutes, that means he would still have to put in an amazing time to claw that back.

Having said that I still want as many people to take part as possible, so hoping you’ll ride regardless.

Also I haven't heard anyone request a different time, so as of yet I haven't scheduled the third timeslot. If you can't make either of the above, get your preferences in now so I can set something up at a convenient time for you.

Can I have a Tuesday morning 1030 slot please?

I was on the Watopia tour and it was hilarious the wobble these trikes had as we came down off the volcano Kom

It does make you laugh to begin with, but if you do multiple rides it gets old a bit fast. Bit fed up with the dinosaurs on Fuego flats after the last couple of weeks, but ToW is helping me slurp up some extra XP to level up. :okay:

Had my weekend endurance ride on the Makuri 40 course. Never done this full route before- its a great route 25miles 1000ft of climbing, nothing too steep a few longish gradients, scenery very varied.

I might see if there is a race on the full course

3hr15 in the saddle today-pace was perfect for MAF training
and a little 670W sprint to beat the German

Couldn't resist getting new shoes:

View attachment 683105

It's been an expensive month for you  . Happy to say my Scholl inserts and the exercises I found on the NHS site are working well.
My cheap MTB shoes just don't have any arch support, but they're great with the inserts. My road shoes seem fine, but I've been riding indoor for 6 months, which is why the problem has shown itself. In the last three days the pain has reduced considerably with no need for time off the bike.
I've just happily raced 55km, done my stretching exercises and it seems all good. :okay::okay:

Got the shoes on a legitimate 50% sale. I imagine they couldn't shift them because of the colour

I got them as I've been using SPD-SL pedals and cleats thus far and the Assioma are Look Keo. So I would either have to swap the cleats between outdoor and indoor, or get a pair o Keo pedals for the Wattbike, or get a pair of new shoes. Opted for the latter. Technically, I could swap the Assioma between outdoor and indoor bike but didn't fancy that.

By the way, found one annoying thing about the pedals so far - because of these little 'pods' they have, you can't unclip by twisting your heel to the inside.

I've got a bright green Samsonite suitcase for the same reason. It was well-cheap, but I've never had trouble spotting it on the airport baggage belt.

That's a bit annoying. I think I do that.

I'll give it a few tries with a new unclipping method.

If I find it really difficult, I was thinking I could use the right Assioma on my outdoor bike and double the power in the settings, and fit the left one to the Wattbike for dual recording.

All this experimenting is a bit overdue - I didn't want to do it in the middle of the racing series, now I'm not that bothered.
