Dual. I was tempted to go Uno and maybe do an upgrade to Duo in the future, but the combined cost of that is much higher than just buying the Duo straight away. It also gives me a bit of redundancy (in case I smash or forget to charge one pedal). I did buy the complete pedal set as the bike fitter advised me against the increased Q-factor (that you get when buying just the Shimano-compatible spindles), based on my biomechanics - not entirely happy with that but hey-ho.

We didn't worry about CE until now, so I don't think there's the need to start. I don't think anyone was holding back

I've only beaten you once 🏆 on Libby Hill KoM last August, but that was because you left it slightly too late.

Had my bike fit today. Took 4h. Really good experience. They sorted me out with a pair of wonderful cycling-specific insoles that seemed to have done wonders with issues I've been having with my feet since forever - will need some time to get use to them though.

What sort of insoles were they Peter? Right foot has started hurting in/under the heel. Looks like plantar fasciitis. Not when cycling, but standing or walking.
Can't stay on my bike forever though (although I'd like to  ) Got some Scholl insoles on the way, but if there's cycling specific ones they'll probably be better.

G8 Pro Series 2620.

The great thing is that they're customisable - they come with a set of foot arch wedges, in different sizes, that slot under the insole - and you can move them around for and aft as well. The idea is that you start at the lower end of the wedge size (in my case, size '2') and in the middle. Then, when your foot gets used to it, you move it one slot forward, give it a few weeks, move it again, and so on. Once you reach the very front, you grab the larger wedge and start in the middle again - until you reach a point where you have maximum support (supposedly rarely above '3' for majority of the population).

Ta for that. They look great, but cost 2.5x my indoor cycling shoes
Still - when it hurts, you'll pay anything to make it go away.

Holy Jesus, I'm glad my feet are cheaper to look after than that - those cost more than my shoes did (admittedly 20 years ago).

I'm using my spare pair of shoes at the moment, awaiting my replacement closure strap (I bit the bullet and ordered from BikeInn, who charge £7.50 delivery on something that costs a tenner  ), and they've got black (zero-float) cleats on, which I haven't been bothered to switch. I think my knees will be grateful when I go back to the red cleats...

Chasing Tour this morning, trying out the new Scholl inserts ("only" £24 - still seems a lot on £35 shoes )

They seemed very comfortable when I wore the shoes for a while last night. Proper test now.

Shoes and inserts will take a little time to bed in. I learnt a tip recently for new shoes, especially leather type. If they pinch a little, put on two pairs of thick socks, hairdryer the shoe to get it nice and warm and walk around directly afterwards. The leather stretches, shortening the break in period to minutes instead of days

Great tip about breaking in shoes there!
These shoes already have about 4000 miles in them (mostly indoor, but some gravel and Cx too). I usually wore them fairly loose, which I think might have caused the heel problem. But they certainly have a lot more arch support with the inserts in.

I think my (more expensive) road shoes have better support, but I have hardly used them since September (which also probably has contributed to the problem).

Couple of series the rest of you might like to know about now ZRL is over...

https://chasingtour.com/ This one is going on all year and it's a bit like FRR. A mixture of stage races and day races. To access the races you join their zwift club (chasing tour). They are separate pens based on ZR.app category (platinum/gold/silver/bronze) but all cats start together, so the starts are bit frantic.

And the upcoming Dirt Racing Series starts on 18th April. https://www.dirtracingseries.com/ also using ZwiftRacing.app categories, but with the narrow sub-divisions Gold 1, 2, 3 etc. which means you won't be racing against people who can drop you in 40s (like I was this morning in the chasing tour  ).

Both of the above offer multiple race times. I'll be racing in a gold 1 team for DIRT in the Atlantic time zone (1045am starts).
