A cracking little winter ride today with regular crew. Down to Bampton to one of our favourite cafes and took the long way home. Temp was below freezing but roads were dry so no slippage, and the frosty hedges and trees made for some beautiful scenery. No one about either.

A 40 mile ride today, 1.0c when I left the house. Good incentive to keep moving.

Oh lordy it was a cold commute today (yes...i was working, unlike you lucky barstewards who stayed in bed, in the warm...or just off work ). Minus 1 and breezy..and that was at 15.00 :bicycle:.
I feel the turbo calling for 'pleasure' riding if this keeps up.

Ive not bottled it yet, despite the cold, but then most of my rides have been 20 miles max.

My 1st post on these here forums, I'll do an official "noob" thread in abit.

Just a quick 35 mile non stopper today to blow out the cobwebs. Left my town of Hayle (Cornwall), up to Truro, cut across to Porthtowan and dropped back down to Hayle via Gwithian etc.

No matter which way I pointed the bike, the wind was in my face!!

It does make you want to ride everywhere round here. The best road is the B3306 from St Ives to St Just which was voted as the most scenic road in Britain.

I haven't ridden that road for a while, due to a road rage incident in which a car driver turned his car into me, pinning me to the wall with his car and jumping out and punching me in the face, whilst I struggled to free my feet from my spuds!!!! The Police are "investigating" as I had 3 witnesses.

A very cold 18 miles on my 'training' route this morning.

On my return, the wife looked up the local weather which said -3 C, feels like -9 C. No wonder my water bottle cap froze!

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

A swift 15 miles.
First time out for a couple of weeks due to a cold and a bad back.
Nice to get some fresh air into my lungs.

We went out yesterday - took the bikes to the Dales and did 25 miles to blow the cobwebs away! Awesome ride...loved it so much. Met a bloke on the same bike as the husband on the way back and we all cycled along together for a while until the poor bloke couldn't bear to go so slowly anymore!!!

Lovely ride...three fleeces, hat under helmet, 2 pairs of gloves....snug as a bug!
