Did 69 miles yesteryday, mostly in the vale of York. So very chuffed with December, back to back metric centuries in terms of weekends . Had a very nice ride on Friday night, although saturday was pretty miserable weather really.

A 7.15am start along the A40 cyclepath in the dark to John Radcliffe hospital. This was to be MRI scanned as a 'healthy control specimen' towards a research project into Marfans Syndrome. On arrival I realised I'd just had a p**cture (the first I've ever had on Conti GP 4 Seasons). Oh well, at least I could attend to that later. After all the tests, and replacing the tube, a pleasant breeze home again, 26 miles in all.

Short commute to work this morning, riding a section of bus route and saw a 'patch' of something at the last second ...glass...loads of it :hello:
No time to avoid, straight through it....and inevitably punctured.
Ah well, the walk to work was nice this morning

Thank the lord for gatorskins...1 puncture. As i checked both tyres i've retrieved about 50 pieces of glass :bicycle::ohmy::ohmy:...seriously.

Normal commute today, nothing spectacular....except i rode straight through the pile of windscreen glass that punctured me on Tuesday. No puncture today thankfully.
I'd forgotten all about it  I'd assumed it'd have been cleared. Spent 1/2 hour going over my tyres removing shards of glass again

A good commute, I had a lie in till 8 , set off in daylight and came home in daylight. Lots of drizzle but that was quite refreshing.

Loving being back on my commuting bike as well after getting paid out for the repairs.

Stuck on the panniers and cycled the 10 miles into leeds for some Xmas shopping. It was hell, the rivers are manic, it's crazy out there. Was cut up 3 times within the first mile:angry:

Be careful!

47 miles today, shattered now.
there were a guy out today in running shorts, trainers and vest top. he was giving it some beans and went past me twice once the other way so was timing himself but bloody hell it was cold but not that cold i was a tad over dressed.
then with about 7 miles to go guy on an mtb wizzzes past me gets a lead of about 150 metres over the 1/4 mile or so and slowly comes back i think well as you didnt say 'hi' as you passed im gonna sit on your wheel and drink. then realise we have slowed right down, we are doing 13 mph so passed i go say hi and leave him standing

I haven't been out for a week due to a combination of poor weather and "holiday" work. Went out today for a 50km ride which was mostly done in the rain. It felt good to be back on the bike although the legs couldn't hold my regular cadence for too long.
